Publisher's Summary

After her brush with death at Ian Crane’s compound, Talia Lyons feels like a prisoner, confined in her childhood home. Plagued with seizures - the result of an unidentified drug injected in her neck by Crane’s men - Talia must put her dream of becoming a Hunter on hold. So when Agency Director McDonough asks Talia to go undercover at the School for the Talented, to find the spy who set the trap for her in Nevada, Talia jumps at the opportunity.

Soon she learns that her newfound freedom comes with a price - working with Donavon on a daily basis. As if that isn’t awkward enough, her former teammate Erik also shows up at the school. But at least Talia has the unexpected company of her best friend, Penny, not only to assist her in uncovering the spy but also to deal with the complications that the guys create.

As Talia becomes more entrenched in her assignment, she quickly learns the lengths that the agency and Mac will go to in the name of war. With Crane’s influence spreading, Talia learns that there are few Operatives without ties to the Coalition. Forced to face hard truths and dangerous conclusions, Talia realizes that it is those closest to her who are hiding the biggest secrets. As the task of finding the traitor becomes more problematic, desperation and frustration rule Talia’s world. It becomes clear that Talia can’t do this alone. But who can she trust when everyone around her is lying?

Great story!

I love the story of the Talented Saga! Talia is developing into a really strong character and I love that the main characters’ personalities and thoughts are shown when a chapter is written in their point of view. The story line is getting really interesting too. I have been loving the books written by Sophie Davis.

I was just a little unsatisfied with the style of the narrator but it wasn’t unbearable.

I am looking forward to more audio books by Sophie Davis!

Every book gets better

I have really enjoyed this series. Sophie Davis is an amazing character builder. She is able to draw you in and weave an imaginative world around you. There have been some complaints about the narrator however I don’t mind her. Sophie definitely has more downs than ups in this book. Sometimes I have to remind myself she is still a teenager and it’s okay if she acts like one now and then. I loved this book and am eagerly starting the next one.

Story was great, narrator not so much

I love this book!! The whole series is just amazing! The narrator however made it hard for me to listen to the audible version. She sounded like a major snob that was too good to talk to anyone. She portrayed a couple voices good and I liked how she talked different for each one but some were just hard to bare. I almost wish she had just read it in one good voice because the main narrator voice was so annoying. If you can handle the narrator voice it is worth listening to, if you can't then at least read the book as it is very good.

Great Story, Terrible Narration

What did you love best about Caged (Talented Saga)?

The authors have a wonderful sense of people. Their characters are multilayered, fallible, and believe in their individual purposes. It makes them believable.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Erik because he's a genuinely good person.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Angel Clark?

Elizabeth Evans, Christina Traister, or Vanessa Moyen

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

The story is a great continuation of Talented and has great twists and turns throughout. The identity shift of several characters throughout the story is engaging and provides nice layering to already established characters. The bonds we see between Erik and Talia are heartening and we get to see a new side of Donovan which is great.

Any additional comments?

I am not a fan of Angel Clark's style. The nasally, overdone vocals are unpleasant to listen to. The different voices aren't good for the most part and I feel she missed the mark many times as to how a character should sound or the emotion behind the scene. Unfortunately, I have nothing good to say about this performance.

Amazing!

I loved it! This story picks up where the last one left off and it does not disappoint! Talia continues her journey and there are some twists along the way. The ending has me wanting more! Can’t wait for the next one!
The narrator does a great job of drawing you into the story and portraying the characters.

Amazing story

I've read these books several times. I love the series and was excited to listen to them while driving. The story in Caged picks up not long after where the first book (Talented) left off, we find out what happened to Talia after Nevada. You meet the characters from the previous books you love and some new ones you'll you love to hate. Lot's of secrets are alluded to and some answers are found.

I gave the narrator 4 stars mainly because her portrayal of a few characters voices was quite obnoxious, Penny being the worst. Several could potentially cause a headache if they had long enough speaking parts. But for the most part, she did a great job bringing out Talia's fire and her snarkiness.

Talented is a Terrific Series!!!

Caged continues Talia's journey. This story will leave you questioning what you think you know about the Agency and the Coalition. Huge surprises in this story that will have you thinking about them well after you are done listening. The in depth characters in this series are extremely enjoyable and I am completely invested in them. The narrator does a fabulous job bringing the story and characters to life with easy to understand and distinct character voices. I am excited to see where Tala's journey leads to next

Loved It!

At first I found it hillarious and a little weird how Natalia's inner/narrator voice differed so much from her talking voice but as the book went along I loved it. The narrator did an excellent job and I would definitely listen to more of her work.

The story is soooo good!! there's a spy among them and it's Talia's job to figure out who it is although I started suspecting who it was about half way through, I didn't know how everything fit together. I was surprised at the twists of the reveal and at the ending. I really need to keep reading this story. It's really, really good and it has kept me hooked since the fist book. This book is just as good as the first and I'd even say it's better. I can't wait to keep reading and find out what happens!!

I couldn't stop listening!!

Sophie Davis does it again! This book was amazing to listen to on Audible. If I was reading the book, it would be an absolute page turner. Listening to the store was still a page turner in the way that you will NOT want to stop listening. It's romantic, of course the love triangle, adventurous, a mystery, and and an ending that will leave you shocked and wanting more! I can not wait to see what happens next!
