Publisher's summary

Carson Harding's marriage is falling apart.

Her husband's lies finally catch up to him, forcing her eyes open to what needs to be done.

Just when she finds the courage to walk away, consequences be damned - an accident changes everything. An accident that will force her to overcome more than a failed marriage.

Jason Hunter has seen it all working on squad truck.

Sometimes death is inevitable and he's learned to accept he can't always be the hero.

But something about the signal 41 he works leaves him wanting to be a hero...

For her.

Will the accident leave Carson broken forever or will Jason show her happiness in spite of tragedy?

Signal 41: Saving Carson is the first stand-alone in the Signal Series.

Rescued by the firefighter

Carson’s life, as she knows it, is upended after a fight with her cheating husband. In the following weeks, she has the support of a hunky fire captain. Devastating loss followed by unconditional love and support. Some angsty moments with the douchie ex will get your blood pumping. Quick story that’s worth the listen.

Emotionally Touching

Signal 41, Saving Sarson by LC Taylor was a Emotional story so much love, hate, heartbreak, betrayal, loss, greif, and new beginnings packed into an incredibly well written and preformed story. I loved it I cried in sadness and in hapiness with this story. I was amazed so much could be placed into a short story as this book held . i highly recommend this listen.

Tragic with a happy ending

Have a box of tissues handy this story will tug on your heart. If you have children it will tug even harder. This is a beautifully written tragic story. I'm glad Carson had Jason and the entire station for support. I'm not sure why child endangerment and manslaughter charges weren't brought up again Max's father but....
Narrator Xander Stone does an amazing job, so much emotion in this story.

So much potential!

I had to force myself to finish the book--though it’s quite short--because the narrator bored me to tears. But the subject was interesting, though tough, and I wanted to see how it could end well.

The book deals with the loss of a child, which is a difficult topic to write about, and it does it mostly well. Even the intimate scenes are seen as an escape from the pain--how a real relationship can come out of it, that’s a wonder though.

I think love comes too quickly here. Though I totally got how both characters could be attracted to each other, seek each other--the woman who’s lost everything and the man who wants to protect and help--I didn’t see the love, the connection. It could have happened later in the relationship, but so fast, I didn’t get it.

My main problem was with the manicheism in the story. On one hand, you have Carson’s husband, who’s a monster--he has no care for his wife or his kid, isn’t above mental and physical abuse--and on the other hand, Jason, a caregiver at heart and who’s ready to change his life for someone who he’s just met.

I also would have loved to know more about Jason’s past. His situation is barely brushed. Why had his parents’ death had such an impact? What is his day to day relationship with his coworkers?

It’s almost like the author had focused so much on the plot that she had forgotten to develop real characters to support it. So much potential! Maybe I’d have liked the book better if I had read it instead of listened to it.

Yowzer! Have a Kleenex ready!

This is an emotional story! It’s is fast paced and kept me interested. There are sad elements in here so beware. The characters are heartfelt and they have chemistry and yet a sweetness between them. Thank Goodness for Zeke!

I listened to this on audio. Xander Stone has a perfect voice. I loved listening to his voice in this.
