Publisher's summary

New York Times best-selling author Julia Kent continues her Shopping for a Billionaire series as mystery shopper Shannon and (near) billionaire Declan explore a relationship (and each other).

The pair deal with a jealous ex-boyfriend, a new perk at work that makes Shannon rethink her job, and a cat that offers up quite a present when Declan takes Shannon out for their first non-business date.

4 Billionaire Smile Star's

If I thought I laughed a lot in book one.. It has nothing on book two.

Not only do we get the same zany Shannon but her mother is a hoot!
Not to mention her father.

OMG the cars.. I don't want to give anything away but the promo cars.. If you don't laugh then I think you might have a stone for a heart.. just kidding. That was funny!
I like that the connection between Declan and Shannon is still very there. You don't lose that feeling of want from book one to book two.

Favorite Quote.. you know me quotes :D

"He's asking Toilet Girl out on a date."

Hilarious!

Just like book one, this well written book is humorous and narrated perfectly. The off-the-wall family of the heroine is absolutely amusing and absurd at the same time. The hilarious situations that happen in this story are worth far more than a credit.....but save that credit because this one's under 5 bucks.

If you are looking for an Adult listen that's entertainingly humorous then this is for you! And in case you don't know these books are a series with cliffhangers ......so just be warned.

I would like to thank the author, narrator, or publisher for providing me this audiobook at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Boom.

Cute And Packed Full Of Humor!

Julia Kent has done it again….The second book in the series is just as funny as the first! This story picks up close to where the first book ends, and focus mostly on Shannon getting ready for her date when Declan. Shannon's family has come to assist her with getting ready for the date. However, their help leads to some pretty embarrassing moments, which will have you smiling and laughing.

To make matters worse, her ex-boyfriend has been evaluated to a stalker, and her cat is all about showing her appreciation.

Tanya Eby does a superb job narrating! She really captures the personalities, and delivers all the funny inter-dialogue, snarky remarks, and the humor flawlessly. She was a excellent fit for the main character, as well as the sub characters.

Looking forward to Shannon and Declan's relationship heating up, as well as the other books in the series.

The Continuing Adventures of Toilet Girl!!

Part 2 picks up with Shannon attempting to enjoy the events of her date with Declan in the midst of dealing with her semi-stalking ex-, her interfering but loving friends and her mom (who unfortunately gives her daughters way TMI on her life with their dad). Throw in some crazy work humor and you have a great couple of hours of entertainment which further the story. I won't pretend I prefer this format to having an entire book available all at once, but as long as I am fully aware of that going in, it's all good.

Tanya Eby is the perfect cast for this audiobook. She has a great sense of comedic timing an does an excellent job with voices. I received this audiobook in exchange for an unbiased review.

I love this series!!! Hilarious!

This is a well written book and I love the author's sense of humor! My family is starting to wonder if something is wrong with me. I'm walking around with my earbuds cracking up every few minutes! It's a hilarious listen!

I do wish it was one book instead of several books in this series but it's an awesome listen. I'll be getting all of them. The author is a brilliant writer. There are cliffhangers... But they did not stop me from loving them.

The narrator does an awesome job bringing the story to life. I really enjoy listening to her. It is definitely worth getting all of them.

Looking forward to the next one!

This author is hysterical

I love listening to these books. The author is so entertaining. She has quick wit and a great sense of humor. I just wish all these books were rolled in to one. Each one can be a complete story, but I wouldn't have to waste the time buying each one separately. The narrator does a wonderful job, as usual. Love Tanya Eby. I will continue buying each story separately because I enjoy them so much.

Had me going BUT

Was enjoying the book. It's fast, funny and I was enjoying the . It's a good book. But just as you get into it it stops. I'm telling you your left hanging with no choice but to buy another to find out what the hell is happening to them. I loved the book hated the way it ended. I received this for free in order to give a honest review. Your characters are pretty spot on. From the family Dynamics. The crazy up and down nerves of a date. Just don't like being held hostage to buy another book at the end. If it had ended in a smooth transition to furthering the story sure but not on a first date really??

So Funny

I have enjoyed Julia Kent's books for a while. This one did not disappoint. What can I say about Declan other than he is so cute. I don't like the stories that you actually have to read the first book in order to understand the second book. This one was funny and entertaining but I would rather have the whole story. The series could continue with some of the otherr characters stories and mixing in Declan and Shannon. Tanya Eby is one of my favorite narrators. She dooes her usual fine job with this book.

Continued silliness, fun & humor

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, it's a sweet, fun romantic, comedic light story. It is a contribution of the first book in the series, and you will enjoy it more if you listen to that one first. This is a serial, so each of the installments are quite short.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Shopping for a Billionaire 2?

The cars! I don't want to give any of it away, but Shannon and her co-workers each get advertising cars complete with roof top decorations. As part of their shopping research they have to drive the cars for 2 years. Let's just say the cars are very different!

What about Tanya Eby’s performance did you like?

I love that each character has a distinctive and appropriate voice. Very well performed, funny & snarky in all the right places.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Declan forcing his Dad to stop by Shannon's office just so he can see her before he leaves on a business trip. When his Dad complains, he sends his Dad on his way with the private jet and reschedules his trip on a commercial flight just to have a few more minutes with Shannon!

Another moment is when he asks her out on a picnic date saying that he's bringing "both", meaning both milk and dark chocolate covered strawberries. In the first book, Shannon asks him one of her critical boyfriend material questions, "Do you like milk or dark chocolate?" and he answered "both". That was the only correct answer according to Shannon.

Any additional comments?

Personally, I would prefer one full book instead of the series of short installments. That's the only reason this did not get all 5 stars.

I hope the next installment has more of Shannon & Declan, this one focused so much on the other characters. And personally, I'm sick of Steve. He had his chance with Shannon and blew it, I'm sick of his bugging everyone to get Shannon to go back out with him.
