Publisher's Summary

Wall Street Journal best-selling author Nicole Snow returns with a fierce and hilarious office romance where two sworn enemies make undeniable lovers.

My “interview” with bosshole supreme was anything but normal.
He picked the worst day ever to chase me off my favorite park bench.
I retaliated with a spray of cinnamon latte all over his Italian shoes.
Then - for some unholy reason - Magnus Heron offered me a job.

Even his name sounds like a piece of work.
Guess what? He is.
But when you're single, broke, and barely surviving in Chicago, you hop on the gift horse offering a six-figure salary and ride.
I picked the stallion on a one-way trip to hell.

It's not the impossibly long hours working under Grump-zilla.
It's not the fact that he's snarly, demanding, horribly rich, and chiseled.
It's not even the pesky way he makes me blush every flipping time we're together.
Mag is my boss. I'm his lowly assistant. Some rules are carved in stone.

That's my mantra until we're sharing a sunset too beautiful for life.
Alone with wandering lips, whispered secrets, and disaster in the making.
The plan was simple: punch the clock, get paid, and keep hating my boss.
What's the blueprint when the office grump brings me to my knees?

Full-length enemies-to-lovers romance with the banter, intrigue, and slow-burn love worthy of a happily ever after. The bossman from Hades meets the hellion he totally can't stand - until he can't live without her.

Entertaining

Author Nicole Snow is new to me although the narrators Carly Robins and Tor Thom, I have listened to before.

Magnus(Mag) Heron and Sabrina (Brina) Bristol’s enemies to lovers, workplace romance was an entertaining and engaging book to listen too. There were times when I really wanted to smack Magnus across the back of his head for his behaviour but he grew on me.

The chemistry between Magnus and Sabrina is steamy and the banter was witty. Theirs was truly a love hate relationship and at times I despaired that these two would get their act together. Sabrina could and did hold her own with Magnus and that made for some humorous scenes.

The story was well written and the characters were easy to relate to, even if they were frustrating at times. The narration by Carly Robins and Tor Thom was easy to listen to and brought the characters to life for me.

ahhh Magnus!

Office romances, I love them! And this one is especially good. Just when life couldn't get any worse, Brina finds herself spitting out her latte on the shoes of a rude man. Who knew the results would be a job offer she can't refuse? Magnus needs an executive assistant. His demanding ways has made it next to impossible for one to tolerate him long enough to remain on staff. Maybe this spitfire is the answer. And our story begins. Laugh out loud moments, times of frustration, a mother who writes romance and is incredibly funny, a driver you want in your life, and a couple that is perfectly matched all masterfully intertwined to create this wonderful story. Brina is quite the woman. Unable to hold a job to proving her worth, she is smart and loyal. She is feisty and stubborn, and willing to do whatever it takes to keep her and her parents afloat. Magnus is broken. He needs the help, but he also needs someone who understands him, and Brina takes the time. It's a slow burn, but so worth the wait. It's another fun listen by Nicole Snow.

Casting Tor Thom and Carly Robins is ideal. Thom gives Magnus that gruff exterior. You can feel it pouring off of him, and at the same time his nuances left us know there is a softness underneath it all. Robins is so expressive, and her portrayal of Brina is spot on. Excitable, spirited and a huge heart, Brina comes across exactly as I expect her to sound. This team works well together and I loved this performance.

Disappointed

Didn't finish the story possibly would have held up but the narrators didn't suit the story type which spoilt it for me
