Publisher's summary

The publication of Power vs. Force by Sir David R. Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D., reveals to the general public secret information heretofore only shared by the author with certain Nobelists and world leaders.

Analyzing the basic nature of human thought and consciousness itself, the author makes available to everyone the key to penetrating the last barrier to the advancement of civilization and science and resolving the most crucial of all human dilemmas: how to instantly determine the truth or falsehood of any statement or supposed fact.

All human endeavors have the common goal of understanding or influencing human experience. To this end, man has developed numerous descriptive and analytical disciplines: morality, philosophy, psychology, and so on. Regardless of what branch of inquiry one starts from (philosophy, political theory, theology) all avenues of investigation eventually converge at a common meeting point: the quest for an organized understanding of the nature of pure consciousness.

To explain that which is simple can be difficult indeed. Much of this book is devoted to the process of making the simple obvious. If we can understand even one simple thing in depth, we will have greatly expanded our capacity for comprehending the nature of the universe and life itself.

Dr.David Hawkins is truly admirable

Previously read one of his other books “Letting Go” which was truly life changing. While reading Power VS Force I really had to push myself throughout the first two chapters but after that it clicked what he was explaining. Amazing book. Very inspiring

Fantastic Topic, narration is a bit hard to digest

What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?

The research and the implications of this work are Earth-shattering! I had heard about this work via a Wayne Dyer audio, am I very glad I listened to it. I may read the book when I want to review it, as David Hawkins audio recording left me struggling to understand and follow many times.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

The words used were very large and scientific, and having someone like David Hawkins read his own work took much of the feeling behind these big words, leaving much room for improvement. I would love to hear another narrator read this work.

The foundation of all life

This is one of the most fascinating, and in theory books I’ve read. I’ve been telling Dr. Hawkins for about a year now and believe that his work is truly part of the current cultures need to grow in awareness and present moment.

This book is not for someone who is religiously bound or has the idea that they can use their intellect or ego to make a difference in the world

This material this ideology this transformation information is for those who truly desire to become the most godly, unassuming individuals. They can be by releasing their ego and excepting true enlightenment as something to be attained through the active, releasing the influence of their experience as a body

Right message, Wrong voice

The content in this book has the potential to lead to transformation at the level of self all the way up to society. Dr. Hawkins’ life and work is so ‘next level’ that in my humblest of opinions, I wish a narrator read the work and not the author. It’s really, really hard to get through, mainly because how he speaks (paraverbal) doesn’t match what he says (verbal). His intonation, phrasing, and tempo are all so robotic that it’s really hard to let the impact of what he shares sink in. I had to hit the back button over and over and over again to catch the significance of so many things in this book because they slid by in the monotony of his speech. I have the greatest respect for his work and it pains me to write this, but I know that he’s committed to sharing this work with humanity, and I think it would be way more widely referred if it were easier to listen to. I’ve listened to it twice now, and it really wasn’t any easier to listen to the second time through.

Amazing book but the narration is so bad it’s frustrating

Everyone should read this book the content is fantastic, enlightening, and important. It is so hard to listen to as an audiobook because it is like listing to Dennis Prager in a fast monotone voice speaking with marbles in his mouth. Worst narration of an audiobook I have ever heard, it is maddening to listen to.
