What disappointed you about Positive Thinking, Be Happy, and Change Your Attitude with Self-Hypnosis, Guided Meditation, and Subliminal Affirmations Collection - Four Books in One (The Sleep Learning System)?

Chapter 1 was a few seconds announcing the name of the book. Chapter 2 started out with what seemed like the middle of a his conversation that had been going on for a while. it's like giving someone instructions but not telling them what the instructions are for. I

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Oh WOW....this was a bad investment

Would you try another book from Joel Thielke and/or Joel Thielke?

What was most disappointing about Joel Thielke’s story?

I was expecting some subtle poignant/positive spoken word accompanied by music that would really facilitate deep sleep after ...the spoken word was ridiculously repetitive and not at all what i expected ...and the music was not conducive to deep sleep at all....it was bizarre..oddly mixed...just when you might begin to fall into a lovely sleep pattern the tempo would speed up and there would be something slightly jarring..

Would you be willing to try another one of Joel Thielke’s performances?

threw off my sleep schedule for a week

I won't try anything like this again, lol.
made me manic for a week, not able to sleep, and has difficulty thinking

Has cured my insomnia.

I listen to it over and over and the results are amazing. This system requires a minimum of 90 days of listening every day. I love it and have continued to us it after 90 days and the results keep getting better.

The excessive & not relaxing music and over done ocean noises. I could have gotten a nature mp3 for that!

I have never asked for a refund before, this is the first. I purchased a book last night on self hypnosis.   The publishers description said it was loaded with positive affirmations,  and so forth.  It is almost entirely a awful music & ocean sounds & where the author is speaking is lost with the awful background music.

Worth a shot

I've only been listening a week, but I've noticed I don't wake up st night anymore, and i am more calm and have more patience...I would like to think it's from self help! I'm still skeptical, but it's definitely worth a shot!

Garbage, ringing and binging all the way though! That's all it is noise!

Save your money time and energy, nothing to it but noises ringing and binging for hours. Absolute rubbish

The start is missing

What's the point of hypnosis if the actual hypnotism is skipped, this starts from way into the process. 😭😭😞😞

very helpful tool

This is my first meditation and hypnosis purchase. I like the fact that even if you fall asleep whilst listening to this , the good that it does still working within your subconscious whilst sleeping.
I have seen an improvement & I do feel more positive and even after not gaining a job after an interview (and was totally gutted about it), having listened to this CD the next morning, I felt totally fine and positive bout my new day ahead....so definitely something is working. Magic stuff!

I really couldn't get into this audio book. I'm not sure if it was just too slow and boring, or if it was the way it was being read. It may improve once you get half way through, but I didn't get that far.

shockingly poor and most disappointing

What little vocabulary there is is mostly repeated followed by repatative music which is repeated and obviously parts missing at the start of each chapter if not then it is obviously very presumptive. I would not recommend this book to anyone

A great way to relax and awaken refreshed + calm

Even if you dont believe it will do whatbit says in the title this is a great way to fall asleep and I always felt refreshed the morning after. I definitely feel it had a positive impact upon my general outlook.

This is endless jangly music or sea sound effects with very very little spoken word. The few words there are, as the last reviewer mentioned, cut in as though half way through a sentence and were also repetitive. I skipped through over two hours of recording to try to find some dialogue, but to almost no effect. Utter rubbish.

Tha author didn't put any work into it.

If you want to hear the whole audiobook just listen to the example. It has a short narrative followed by an endless string of annoying noise.
