Publisher's Summary

The most powerful stories we tell are the ones we tell ourselves - about ourselves. Most people are an expert on who they are not as opposed to who they are. These same people have long lists of the things they are incapable of rather than the miracles that they can create - should they only wish to do so.

This must-have program contains 75 inspiring stories of average individuals who transformed themselves through the power of correct thought - the secret to their magic that we all possess - to lead extraordinary lives and go on to become noted in the pages of history for their accomplishments.

Better if listened to in small doses

I really enjoyed listening to the different stories. However, I made the mistake of listening to too many and felt myself growing rather cynical and wishing for a snide comment. I turned it off for a few days and then listened to a couple here and there. Much better. Perhaps some can listen to all the stories non-stop and become more and more empowered. I, sadly, do not fit that genre.
The narrator was good - what I was expecting. No surprises.
I was gifted this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

big education is made of small details

The Book is So Much Better Than The Title Suggests

If you could sum up Discover Your Inner Magic! in three words, what would they be?

Inspiring, interesting and educational

Who was your favorite character and why?

I loved the story of the "merchant of death"
It is amazing that a man was able to see his legacy and so radically change it.

Which character – as performed by Gregory Allen Siders – was your favorite?

The stories were all read wonderfully. I enjoyed them all.

What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?

I am thinking a lot about the stories I heard. The entire volume left me feeling that dreams really can come true if you just keep working toward them. It also told me it is NEVER too late to start.

Any additional comments?

This book is a FANTASTIC listen. It depicts the stories of several inspirational people- all of which were entertaining. Ilearned new things about the people I am fairly well-versed on (Lincoln for example) as well as many I had not even heard of!I feel the title does not do the book justice- it sounds like one of the dull, dime-a-dozen self- help books full of well- meaning advice that is often not inspiring.

This book is INSPIRING without lecturing or telling the reader/listener what to do. The book is accurate in the assumption that most of us already have a dream or cause, and by giving us example after example of real- life folks that achieved their goals he has given us pause to think about our own stagnant paths and how to step up and guide our destinies.

An interesting listen, but ....

Any additional comments?

It was an interesting listen, but it didn't help me find my inner magic. I learnt a lot about the lives of gifted people that persevered against all odds though.
