Publisher's Summary

At 211º water is hot. At 212º, it boils. And with boiling water, comes steam. And steam can power a locomotive. It's that one extra degree that makes all the difference. Use this powerful metaphor to reach new heights.

Underwhelming

the book begins with a very compelling metaphor boiling water but that is as far as it goes. I went away from this audiobook feeling underwhelmed.

Amazingly Inspiring

What made the experience of listening to 212 The Extra Degree the most enjoyable?

It motivates you to go the extra mile to accomplish tasks.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the analogy of likening hard work and effort to turning up the temperature on your effort or drive, so that your energy to achieve goals bubbles like boiling water.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No. It reinforced those things that I already knew. It was a common sense approach to working on your life's goals and objectives, but most of all, it reminded me that I must push through when I'm discouraged.

great concept but lacks substance

I really like the idea of giving the extra degree of effort to separate yourself from others. 212° is a fantastic concept. Personally though I thought the book seem to be very basic in the way it developed the actual action steps. For example, do one extra special thing a week every week and at the end of the year you will have 52 extra special things. I felt it lacked meaningful substance.
