Publisher's summary

The finale of the Zombie Road tale. It's been a month since the outbreak, and the survivors of the zombie apocalypse have started a new life in a walled city. There are still a few enemies that need to be dealt with, the kind that can think and plan, and they can be more devastating than a horde of the undead.

And the RAGE Continues...

Human beings at their best and worst. A real “good” vs. “evil” series. As Mr. Simpson says in his epilogue: There are good and bad people out there. It just so happens that during a zombie apocalypse the differences between the two are (unfortunately) unabashedly more glaring.

Even though this series is clearly for entertainment, and 100% fictional, there are life lessons to take out of these epic books.

Excellent storyline by Mr. Simpson and fantastic narration by Mr. Shelman! Thanks for the engrossing entertainment!

I LOVED THIS SERIES! 💛

At first I wasn't sure if I would like the book 1 because I wasn't sure about the narrator. But I pushed through and I am sure glad I did. I loved the characters and mostly knew which one was talking.

I know some people cried racism because who was the real enemy in this series but come on. It really plays to the time we are in now. Everyone should stop being so PC and just enjoy the books.

I was excited to hear that the story will go on and will definitely get the new book as soon as it comes out.

I will finish by saying that if there was a Zombie Apocalypse this is a plausible way it could happen. I found some good tips just in case 😉

An action packed thrill ride

This series of books is an action-packed through ride. One of the best zombie apocalypse series out there. Once you start reading these books you just want to continuously read until the end and then read some more. Great cast of characters exciting adventures action packed from beginning to end and you will not be disappointed. Very well written lots of detail and you can tell it is written with heart and soul put into it. The narration is extraordinary as well. Now I am onto the next book in this saga. If you are a zombie fan you definitely must read these books

One Of The Best Zombie Stories

Love #3 in the series the most but the other two were exceptional.

I enjoyed (spoiler alert) Hillary playing the part of the “new” self proclaimed president and her eventual demise.

Throughly enjoyed and would recommend these three stories to any zombie fan and to anyone who enjoys seeing politicians spoofed.

What a Zombie story should be

zombie stories are not supposed to be romances, they're not supposed to be for deep emotional introspection. they are about being scared, showing ingenuity, and disregarding a whole lot of normal laws and morals. This series of books does that very well while still keeping the most fundamental at the Forefront.

I loved it

I listen to a ton of zombie books and this is a good series. I like the amount of detail that went into it. It was just enough to sell the story line but not so much that it bored you. The narrator did a good job with the different voices. You could tell the characters apart and he didn’t have to create an array of odd voices in order to differentiate them from each other. The only thing that kept pulling me out of the story is that he did all this research but somehow failed to learn that marines are not soldiers. Marines are marines. Army guys are soldiers. Do not call a marine a soldier they won’t like it. I will definitely be looking for more books from this author.

👍

I just listened all three books back to back. Loved all three books, was a little leery because of the cover picture. But as I say don’t judge a book by its cover.I give all three of these books 6 stars! I hope everybody enjoys him as much as I did!

Perfect time for a rest stop..

The timing of this third book was surprising. My fanboy side was ecstatic to hear how the bad guy were finally dealt with, im sure the reality of a domestic attack was brought to a lot of readers.Conspiracy nuts arent too far off the path of believable situations, zombies not withstanding. THREE MORE BOOKS ARE COMING *IM SO GEEKED OUT*

Fantastic Epic Battle

This is an excellent finish to the Trilogy of how Gunny, his wife Lacie and son, Jessie end up in Lacota, OK. I had to take one star off on Story because there were a couple of loose ends that I believe should have been tied up regarding two particular vile characters. The author said in his afterword that the loose ends would not keep the listener/reader up at night, but I believe he is wrong. I think it was important to finalize those characters in order fo complete the trilogy. I am going to read the next book, which apparently features Jessie's life after the third battle of Lacota. Maybe the loose ends from Book III will be tied up win that book.

Speaking of the third battle of Lacota, it was epic to say the least. You will have to suspend belief a little, but what the heck, it's a zombie book so your belief has already been suspended. The author did a great job describing the battle and building dread, hope, and excitement. He is a very good storyteller and even if some things are very horrific, there are also many kind, sweet parts - particular the addition of Bob, the dog. I believe Bob will figure into Book 4, Jessie's story.

Some reviewers mentioned they believe the book is racist or too political. I enjoyed the author's political point of view and ignored the critics. Jihadist and their supporters are bad guys - period. There is nothing racist about that. The evil nature of the jihadist that created the zombie virus, and Madame President's role in the disaster, are main parts of the plot and are what made the story so unique and interesting.

The narrator was excellent. He understood the characters and the significance of what he was narrating. He helped make the characters real and likable, or despicable - whichever was appropriate. He also knows how to build excitement and suspense. I will look for other books narrator by Eric Shelman. Thank you, author David Simpson for this entertaining and spellbinding series.
