Enter the Grishaverse.... Love speaks in flowers. Truth requires thorns.

Perfect fairytale-y stories!

I loved Bardugo's Grisha trilogy, and she has managed to capture the feeling of Ravka, of Fjerda and all the other places in these short stories, these fairy tales. They are superbly written, with a great feeling for old fashioned fairy tales from Russia or Germany or any other place. Bardugo has such an ear for making her stories old-fashioned without any false notes. I'm very impressed.
The reader took about ten minutes of getting used to, and after that she made a very good job.
I would recommend this book as perfect winter listening for any fan of Bardugo or of classic fairy tales.

Not what I expected after such a good series

I found it to be confusing I know it’s a collection of short stories however it just didn’t fall in line with any of the other books and according to audible it said that it was next in series so in correction to the ad I would say it’s not next and series but maybe I’ll tell you may enjoy if you like the author?

Great read!

I listened to this book on my way to and from work every day. The stories were familiar from my childhood but all had wonderful twists. I enjoyed seeing how each story played out… And the narration was incredible. I could hardly wait to get in my car for the next chapter. I think anyone who likes a good fairy story would enjoy this book. The descriptions were meticulous… I could picture the people and the setting as though I could see it with my own eyes. The different voices the narrator used were wonderful. I am going to get a hard copy of this book to keep in my library.

I Loved This!

This is one gorgeous book! The illustrations are stunning and perfect. The tales told within are hauntingly clever and fierce. Each story taught lessons, whether it's characters understood them or not is up to the reader.

Leigh Bardugo is always entertaining and enthralling. There were so many quotable moments that gave me chills. I had the hugest smile while consuming this beautiful book.

Queen Bardugo has put her own uniquely creative twists on some very beloved stories and has made them sinister and unputdownable. Dive into this beauty wholeheartedly, you won't be disappointed!

The unexpected plot twists were great!
I enjoyed listening to these short stories. I wish there were more than 5 stories though.

Love there short fables for adults

These stories were brilliant. Told to adults but I believe these could told in a not so grim manner and these would be very good ones for kids too. I want to go back and listen to them again so I will remember to tell them myself.

Love these stories and narrator!

First time I've read something new and wanted to look up both the author and the narrator to see what else they've done.

I love the fairytale format

This worked so much better for me then the actual Grisha books. I enjoyed the concepts of shadow and bone, but the characters seemed much more solid here.

Nice history and short story compilation.

I enjoyed these short stories adding to the lore of the main trilogy. Good narrator, well produced audiobook.
