Keeping me hooked!

I'm continuously enthralled by everything going on. All the traveling was a little tough to get through early on, but it gets great as it goes through!

First Audible Book

I have already read almost all the books Salvatore has written. Now I'm going back and listening to them all. What a great experience this has been.

Come on Man Victor Bevine

Gotta fix that character work in the voices. A little better, I imagine that over time you are getting better but I haven't listened to anything recent.

Best regards: Flex.S

Best Drizzt story since Homeland

This is the second book in the Icewind Dale Trilogy.

I think this is the best of the Legend of Drizzt books since the opening book of the series.

Bruenor Battlehammer is on the way to reclaim the city of his fathers, Mithral Hall, and his friends, Wulfgar the Barbarian, Regis the Halfling, and Drizzt Do’Urden the Dark Elf accompany him. Unknown to them at first, Regis is being pursued by an assassin who wants him and the magical gem he wears for a client. The assassin seeks help from Dendybar the Mottled, a Wizard of Luskin, the nearest town to Icewind Dale. In this way, Dendybar discovers that Drizzt is with the party. Dendybar believes Drizzt knows the whereabouts of the evil Crystal Shard that caused so much trouble in the previous book, so he sends his apprentice, a soldier, and a Golem with the assassin to get this information for him. Meanwhile, the assassin has captured Catty Brie, Bruenor’s adopted daughter, who he thinks will make it easier for him to secure Regis.

The companions meet with all kinds of obstacles on their way to Mithral Hall – everything from racial prejudice to trolls. But eventually, they get there. So does the assassin’s party.
Then, in Mithral Hall, they discover even more foes. Several people appear to die but turn out to be alive after all. And some of them even stay dead.

Well written, and well read, as always, by Victor Bevine.

Overall great, just one nit to pick...

The books are great but man I wish someone would tell Victor Bevine how to pronounce "short-lived". 5 books in and he's said it so absurdly at least half a dozen times I don't know how some producer or editor hasn't said something. But that's just my pet peeve I suppose.

Too much dead time

This far into the story with so many books there is way too much poetry and reflection I would have liked to have seen more storyline.

Good but for one thing

I don’t know how this happened but Victor Bevine pronounces the word “lived” wrong this entire series...he says it like LIEvd it ridiculous.
