Sequestered in the blackness of the dreaded Tower of High Sorcery in Palanthas, surrounded by nameless creatures of evil, Raistlin Majere weaves a plan to conquer the darkness - to bring it under his control.

Crysania, a beautiful and devoted cleric of Paladine, tries to use her faith to lead Raistlin from the darkness. She is blind to his shadowed designs, and he draws her slowly into his neatly woven trap.

Made aware of Raistlin’s plan, a distraught Caramon travels back in time to the doomed city of Istar in the days before the Cataclysm. There, together with the ever-present kender Tasslehoff, Caramon will make his stand to save Raistlin’s soul.

Or so he believes.

What did you love best about Time of the Twins?

The storyline and characters are simply fantastic!

What did you like best about this story?

The plot and development of characters were the best part of this story.

How could the performance have been better?

Bring back the original narrator, Paul Boehmer!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, but with Paul Boehmer as the narrator.

Any additional comments?

The original narrator, Paul Boehmer, of the first three books brought each character to life. However, Ax Norman's voice is flat and boring; all characters sound the same and have no life at all.

Excellent Series, Horrible Narrator

As a huge fan of the dragon Lance series I was disappointed with the narrator he’s very monotone drawl and brings no wife to the characters as he never changes the pitch or tone of his voice would. absolutely recommend the series as it’s one of the my Personal favorites just would not recommend the audible version as the narration is utterly horrible

Terrible narration

The narrator was good but may mispronunciations and it would have been nice for him to do character voices differently. Great story and telling of it however!

Hmmm...

Read the books several times, and I should have read the reviews before purchasing. Narrator was very bland and lifeless, and butchers Tas and Majere. Sounds like Toss and Mah-jare. Well, I'll make sure to avoid any other books narrated by him. Narration of the Raistlin Chronicles were a lot better.

Such a dull narration, and the pronunciation...ugh

I’ve always loved these book but this narrator.... no distinction between characters, not honest inflection, mispronunciations left and right...

Raistlin has a soft, whispery voice, the kind that keeps your attention, Tas’ voice is childlike, Caramon’s booming, yet the narrator only kept the the same voice- his own. I couldn’t get drawn in like I did the original chronicals, or like I do simply reading it to myself. I was incredibly disappointed. I really hope the re-do this series with a different narrator in the future- one who will do it proper respect.

Disappointing Narration, wonderful story

Truly a great book and series however the individual reading the book is completely out of his league. The individuals monotone speaking style is enough to put you to sleep it really makes this book severely hard to listen to.

Great book bad performance

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Ax Norman?

Should have stuck with the narrator of the first series Paul Boehmer!!

Any additional comments?

I started my subscription solely for the Dragonlance series, first narrator was great, second was horrible. If it continues to be this hit and miss, consider my subscription canceled.

Great Story, Horrible Narrator

i love these stories but i wish they had keep the same vocie acter this new guy to me anyways is to nasally but maybe its just me he got the names wrong or the other guys did eteher way he should have listen to the other gentleman to see how he went about it so they could have at lest been close on the names

great story terrible reading

Mispronounced names...dry reading...only good thing was the story. The narrator speaks clearly and reads well...just puts no effort when reading a characters voices or internal dialogue. Too bad it’s the only one for this book.

Great story...boring performance.

i was very disappointed with the repeated mispronunciation of names. Also, he did not stick to one pronunciation, but changed throughout. Some of the more glaring examples: Sturm not Strum. Paladine not Paladin. Tas not Taz.

Needs new narration
