Publisher's Summary

The book was hidden well.

Its pages promised the power of the Witch-King himself.

And now that it’s been found, even the fact that it kills anyone foolish enough to crack its cover won’t stop people from fighting over it.

Welcome to the Bloodstone Lands!

Human assassin Artemis Entreri and his dark elf companion Jarlaxle have come to the demon-haunted wastelands of the frozen north at the request of their dragon patron. It doesn’t take long for them to find themselves caught in the middle of a struggle between powerful forces that would like nothing more than to see them both dead...or worse.

But Entreri and Jarlaxle aren’t just any wandering sellswords, and the ancient evils and bitter blood-feuds of the wild Bloodstone Lands may have finally met their match.

Amazing Book. I really relate to Jarlaxle!

I think out of everyone Mr. Salvatore has created Jarlaxle is by far the one I wish I could be. Every time I play d&d I always end up as a charasmatic Rogue. it's just so much fun to play. with this series really focusing on him and Enterari it lets me get a better look at the asymmetrical drow.

Good book

Good story following Jarlaxal and Enteri cleaning up the remnants of the Crystal Shard. It also brings more depth to both characters background.

Undead Dragon, Magic Castles, and a Litch. this

this is one of my favorites so far it has everything you could ask for from a D&D book.

Too Many Battle Scenes

I’d love it if these books had less battle scenes and more story... when you get to the story, it’s excellent! But honestly the battles feel like they go on forever and I get bored.

Great story. I love R.A. Salvatore's books!

All of his books are amazing. I somewhat prefer those that are centered around drizzt, but I am quickly learning how great this duo can be as well. It can add a darker view of the stories.

Loved it.

Never a dull moment exciting from go to done. I like the reflection of real life, sometimes there is no clear cut good or bad guy this book absolutely speaks to the duality of Man & Women. Is someone Good just because of who they work for? is it bad to break a law if it needs to be done? it was once against the law to run if you were a Slave.
