Publisher's summary

Salvatore's The Cleric Quintet tells the tale of the scholar-priest Cadderly, who is plucked from the halls of the Edificant Library to fulfill a heroic quest across the land of Faern.

The assassins of the Night Masks stalk the shadowy streets of the city of Carradoon, led by the sinister killer known as Ghost. Cadderly struggles against the dreaded Chaos Curse in these dark, evil-haunted alleyways, with a silent death around every corner.

Awesome acting

Victor has an amazing way of performing unique voices for each character in the book. Listening to him I have no question as to which character is speaking. His range of emotions and skill in reading is simply fantastic.

I'd listen to any of his works for the sheer beauty of the quality of entertainment. I currently own over 12 of his audio books.

WOWED

I have read and listened to all to current time in the R A Salvatore books that were associated with “Drizzt”. Those Books captured me. Even though I appreciated some of the Non-Companion, characters, I wasn’t so enthusiastic about the “Cleric” books. I was so off base on my thoughts! I am wowed and binging them!

Another masterpiece by Salvatore and Bevine!

Would recommend any and all work done by these two. I only wish the stories lasted longer or would never end.

Great story, blah narrator.

Loved the story, the Cleric Quintet is one of my favorite series. I just am not a fan of the narrator, he does ok I just don't like his style. He gets too quiet during the non action scenes which causes me to crank the volume only to have him read loud and fast when something exciting happens. It's a constant volume adjusting affair so I can hear the quiet parts, then turning it down when he gets loud again.

Coming to Fruition

Salvatore's series snaps into a nice groove with this third installment. Caterly (sp?) fully comes into his own as a priest. The D&D nuances are fun for those who play the game, but you don't need to be a player to enjoy the book. Bevine's performance is solid, although I still listened to it at 125%. Overall, I recommend it.
