Great story and great series!

I loved every minute of it. Its great to read about a big ugly guy who vanquishes evil and gets the beautiful girl to see that he's worth loving.

bad but good?

Would you be willing to try another book from Larry Correia? Why or why not?

YEP. I mean this stuff is cheesy but like in the way the show Arrow is bad but good. It's so action moviey and filled with tropes and cliches but FUN. You can't tell if the author aware of how bad is it but I hope not because that's kinda what makes it good. I went from the 1st book immediately to the second, the third one lost me a bit because it shifts main characters from the big dumb hero to the cheesy southern accent father figure but I might be sucked back in if the mood strikes.

If Tarzan was adopted by a survivalist family and had to learn how to fight monsters, this could be his story. Lol.

What does Oliver Wyman bring to the story that you wouldn???t experience if you just read the book?

He does a very good job of giving the listener a feeling for the characters.

Another Great Chapter

I'm fairly late to this series, but I'm enjoying them immensely. This book is just as good as the first and I'm glad to see there are quite a few more in the series. And Oliver Wyman is quickly becoming one of my favorite narrators for this genre.

Good story but no real surprises

if you read the1st book this is a good follow through. good villain. good opening for future books

Another Successful Adventure

I can only suggest that you read every book this author has written. His works meet the perfect definition of entertainment. While I wish there was less vulgarity, for it limits the people I can recommend it to, I still love the stories.

A good read. Fun series.

More action movie-esque fun from MHI. There is a great fight with a group of gargoyles that was a lot of fun. This is a great book to put between some of your more grim novels. Lightens the mood.
