Thea Harrison has a way of keeping you on the edge of your seat while Sophie Eastlake brings the characters to life. I fell back in love with the two who started it all. Dragos and Pia continue to grow and I found my self laughing at Pia's commentary. Harrison has showed that these two are not a one shot deal... While I enjoyed the other characters in this series being able to read about the Pia and Dragos made me what to read the series again from the start.. Can't wait to see what happens next!

What made the experience of listening to Lord's Fall the most enjoyable?
Draggos was not afraid to let his feelings be known for his mate. I can't believe Pia would want him to big wuss, but it was cute how he softened up to her a lot. I also am so glad that he and Rune finally talked. I didn't like Rune's book because I didn't believe their friendship should have broken up over such a weak misinterpretation. Especially since they had been best friends for centuries.
What does Sophie Eastlake bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Her voice impressions. It brought the other characters to life. The voice of Evie gave me pause but for the most part, they were good.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When he goes with his instincts to find her even though he promised to give her a week where she was.
Any additional comments?
I sure hope she has more of these coming soon because there are some serious new characters.

I found this story entertaining but it needed more. I want to hear more about peanut the birth and other stuff. Also the way Pia took charge was different but I felt she needed to also acknowldge her pit falls to her hero.

Where does Lord's Fall rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This is one of my favorite audio books and I have MANY! This is a wonderful story that answers some unanswered questions. I love seeing previous characters return in this story. It is now my favorite all the Elder Race series. I would recommend reading these stories in order.
What other book might you compare Lord's Fall to and why?
Lord's Fall brings back Dragos and Pia. It answers questions brought up in Oracle's Moon. It reconciles relationships broken in Serpent's Kiss. You could compare this book to Dragon Bound because it's Dragos and Pia's story.
Which scene was your favorite?
My favorite was the lovely thoughts that occurred when Dragos came to rescue Pia. The words were in-depth and you could only imagine the love that exist.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I am not an emotional person so there were no tears or outburst of laughter but I did smile many of times and I do recall going "awwww"...LOL.
Any additional comments?
The narrator was wonderful. The characters and story were well written. I loved all books except for Storm's Heart ( I think that's the name) but the rest of the series was indeed wonderful and I would recommend reading or listening to in order.

While this is a little bit of a let down after Oracle's Moon, it is still a good book. The Lord that Falls is a surprise and the 2 new Sentinals are both a real surprise also. I found Pia's new Wyr guard to be funny and a very good addition to the story line. I can also see her and the Harpy coming to blows in a future story. It will be interesting to see how the 2 new Sentinals develope into their new roles and to see how other relationships develope.
Ms. Eastlake does her usual great job of narrating and there are still many stories yet to be told in this series. I do hope Ms. Harrison writes them all because I eagerly await them. I do hope it doesn't take to long for the next installment.

Would you listen to Lord's Fall again? Why?
GOOD STORY LINE AND I LOVE THE NARRATOR. LORDS FALL TAKES US BACK TO THE COUPLE IN FIRST BOOK (PIA AND DRAGOS).
Have you listened to any of Sophie Eastlake’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
YES. EASLAKE DOES A EXCELLENT JOB ON BOTH MALE AND FEMALE VOICES. A MUST IF YOU ASK ME FOR ANY AUDIOBOOK THAT USES JUST ON NARRATOR.

It's all been said before by my fellow reviewers but to summarise:-
An awe and then some fantasy series in which each book is filled with likeable and loveable supernatural characters that evolve emotionally as they get involved in brilliant stories that are funny, tense, sexy, thrilling and, with clever dialogue, each book becomes a VERY VERY addictive listen.
When this one came out I was slightly disappointed and thought "A sequel to Dragos and Pia's story - how interesting or exciting can this one be?" BOY WAS I WRONG!!! It had everything we come to expect from the gifted writings of Thea Harrison and the magical narration of Sophie Eastlake who breathes life into every single character. Dragos was sooooo romantic and even the Peanut gets a bit more involved.
Definitely not a stand alone listen for 4 fantastic reasons - Book 1, Book 2, Book 3 and Book 4 !! So, if you're a paranormal fan but you haven't already listened to them then stop depriving yourselves of a great series and get downloading them now).
Worth a credit? Errr well that would be a big fat YES.

I recently discovered this series....and I got through all 5 books in about a week, that is how good they are!
The wait for book 6 will be horrible, I hear maybe November, but that is a long time. I will have to find some other series to be engrossed in in the mean time!
Book 5 was good...it was not as good as book 3, probably on par with book 4. I was excited that we get to be with Pia and Dragos again...rather than a new couple we get to see how this couple expands...and we even got to see Rune and Carling again, so that was nice too. The hot factor went down on this book, but the action went up...I prefer the hot factor but to each their own.
I am a fan, and I will get the next book when it comes out.

I'm so glad Harrison wrote another book about Pia and Dragos!! They have been my favorite characters throughout the series and I wasn't expecting another book solely about them.
Pia is pregnant, still trying to find her place in the Wyr world, and dealing with the stress of being the mate of the Wyr leader. There is a strong story line that isn't simply centered on the relationship and romantic encounters between Pia and Dragos.
It is definitely worth buying or using a credit!!
