I'm getting really good at cutting my losses. First, the husband. Divorcing him was the best decision I ever made. But between single-parenting and job-hunting, I can't catch my breath. When a celebrity blogging position falls into my lap, I'm determined to succeed. That is, until I get my first assignment and actually see Noah Frazier for the first time...practically naked and dripping wet. My heart races and I forget how to form complete sentences. His chiseled abs, irresistible smirk, and crystal blue eyes are too perfect to be real. So, what do I do? Get drunk and humiliate myself, of course.
Kale Bryant. Arrogant. Gorgeous. Commanding. This ER doctor is married to his job. His only vice is one-night stands and short-lived flings. He learned a long time ago loving someone isn't worth the risk. Harley Hope Masterson. Beautiful. Brave. Sweet. The owner of a small coffee shop knows what it's like to struggle. Embroiled in a bitter divorce, she's threatened with losing everything. I couldn't have scripted a more perfect night. For one fantastic evening, at a masquerade party in the heart of Manhattan, I'm not the millionaire everyone wants a piece of. Fine - multimillionaire. But who's counting all those commas? Not me, and not the most intriguing woman I've ever met. And that's why I'm eager to get to know her more, since my mystery woman seems to like me for me, rather than for my huge...bank account. Everything's coming up aces. Until the next day, when things get a little complicated. (Newsflash - a lot complicated.)
Songwriter Dylan McCoy has been burned. By her boyfriend she found in her bed...with someone else. By the contract she signed that obligates her to work with him until the songs for his new album are complete. By her agent when she asked Dylan to keep their breakup on the down-low. When she finds herself in Sunnyville, she refuses to let her new roommate burn her too. Still...a rebound has never looked so good.

The last person Griffin Shipley expects to find stuck in a ditch on his Vermont country road is his ex-hookup. Five years ago they shared a couple of steamy nights together, but that was a lifetime ago. At 27 Griff is now the accidental patriarch of his family farm. Even his enormous shoulders feel the strain of supporting his mother, his three siblings, and a dotty grandfather. He doesn't have time for the sorority girl who has shown up expecting to buy his harvest at half price.
It was a hot summer day when I met him on the construction site next to my parents' house. Under the sweat and dirt, Manning Sutter was as handsome as the sun was bright. He was older, darker, experienced. I wore a smiley-face t-shirt and had never even been kissed. I was too young, he said. I would wait. But I'd learn that no matter what you achieve in life, it means nothing if you suffer the heartbreak that comes with falling for someone you can never have. Because even though I saw Manning first, that didn't matter. My older sister saw him next.
Growing up, the three of us were friends. He was the nerd. I was the playboy. She was the beauty. Deep down, I only ever wanted her. I kept it inside because Rory and I made a pact that our friend, Amber, was off-limits. He lied. I went off to college, and he got the girl. Amber never knew how I felt. They were together for years - before he broke her heart. Through it all and across the miles, she and I casually stayed in touch. When my job sent me to Boston for a three-month contract position, Amber let me stay in her spare room.
At 11 he was my first crush. At 16 he became mine. At 19 he broke my heart and destroyed me. That was 10 years ago and the last time I saw Cole Ryan. They say you never get over your first love...I beg to differ. I left my shattered heart buried in a town I never expected to return to. I erased every thought of him and buried the memories never to be found. I moved on...now, 10 years later, I have the perfect life, the perfect fiancé, the perfect career. Everything I ever wanted until I'm forced to go back and face my past and the man that destroyed me.
I had no idea how much I would love Alex the day he walked into my life. He changed everything. The way I breathed. The way I thought. The way I loved. He brought me back to life. He gave me strength and a safe place to land. And then he broke me.
Five coworkers. Four drinks. Three glances. Two fleeting smiles. One dare. A dare that will change my life. That's all it takes to send me plummeting into the arms of the mysterious Holt Hamilton. Behind his crystal blue eyes is a secret, one that screams danger but calls to me anyway. My name is Saige Phillips. I never walk away from a dare.
Once upon a time, I was an 18-year-old psychology student. Now, I'm a man's property. Stolen and sold, I've been decorated in bruises since the day my world changed two years ago. I suffer in silence, I crave freedom, but I never break. I can't. Until he arrives. Elder Prest, the only man to look at me and see me. The only man more ruthless than my owner. He wants me for reasons I don't understand. He claims me for one night then leaves and never looks back. Until he returns. And life becomes much more complicated.
My name is Melody Greene, and I have a confession to make. I slept with my student, a senior in high school. Multiple times. I had multiple orgasms. In multiple positions. I slept with my student and I enjoyed it. I slept with my student and I'd do it all over again if I could turn back time. My name is Melody Greene, and I got kicked out of my position as a teacher and did my walk of shame a la Cersei Lannister from the principal's office, minutes after said principal threatened to call the cops on me.
Kason and Adaline. From the moment they meet, they start to fall. Neither of them predict just how far the drop will be, though. Loving Adaline is all Kason has ever wanted to do. But Kason has a secret. He's an addict. A sex addict. Layer by layer, he starts to unravel, forcing Adaline to face the world he's kept hidden. What happens when one person loves beyond the craving and the other craves beyond the loving?
I keep my two worlds separate. At work, I'm King of Wall Street. The heaviest hitters in Manhattan come to me to make money. They do whatever I say because I'm always right. I'm shrewd. Exacting. Some say ruthless. At home, I'm a single dad trying to keep his 14-year-old daughter a kid for as long as possible. If my daughter does what I say, somewhere there's a snowball surviving in hell. And nothing I say is ever right.
Keaton Bridge is 100 percent bad boy. Cassie doesn't need a boy and certainly not a bad one. She fights crime for a living, and everything about this guy screams trouble, from his charming British accent to his mysterious past. And Cassie doesn't do trouble. Keaton's trying to go legit, and an FBI agent hanging around is the last thing that will help his credibility. All it took was one night of passion to sear her into his skin. Now he can't imagine living happily ever after without her. All they have to do is walk away. But neither of them ever walks away from a challenge....
Grant Malone is not the reason I moved back to Sunnyville - at least that’s what I tell myself. Yet, those parting words I said to him back in third grade ring in my ears every time a towns-person brings up one of the Malone boys. I thought time had healed my wounds. I was wrong. Nothing could have prepared me for how I felt when I finally saw him again. Twenty years does a lot to turn a boy into a man. One who hits all my buttons - sexy, funny, attractive, and a police officer.

Navigating a new city with a broken heart and a job where her colleagues will do anything to sabotage her, the pressure quickly becomes too great. When old habits resurface, Lindsay finds herself chasing demons she thought were long since buried.

As the final book in this awesome series starts to play you think great Lindsay and Matt are happy and they've gone public with their relationship but where can it go from here? Well I needn't of worried because the very talented Rebecca Shea took the couple (and me) on such a heartbreaking emotional journey with just one phone call. The phone call that ended a relationship, shattered dreams and would have a devastating effect on their futures.
This is a heartbreaking story about the choices that come along in life and the agonising outcome when the wrong choice was made. It deals with anorexia, drug abuse and the terrible effects on your mental health and well being when you walk away from your soul mate, from love. But thankfully it's also about the bonds of friendship, the support of family and the forgiveness of unconditional love. Which thankfully resulted in a very sweet Epilogue.
Told mainly from Lindsay's POV but we do get to hear Matt's POV too in various chapters throughout. Great narration which added depth, emotion and brought life to the story.
Worth the credit? As this was only a three book series I have to now bid a fond farewell to all the characters that I've grown to love during this very enjoyable series. A series that tears your heart out, stomps all over it with the shocks, anguish, revelations and emotional twists then it takes your breath away with its tender words and beautiful love stories. Goodbye Gabe and Jess, Landon and Reagan and, of course, Matt and Lindsay..... it's been a thrilling ride to see you all get your deserved HEA endings. And YES each intense listen was very creditworthy.
