I hate books that leave everything so open ended. Not the best I’ve ever listened.

wasn't what I expected

I originally ordered the book because of snip-it the author posted on tik tok. But I still really enjoyed it! How could she end it like that ughhh! Now I have to wait till the next book. Hopefully that's soon.

I will admit I was confused by the multiple character story lines within the story. And I couldn't quite catch on to any major character development. But also keep in mind it is a short book and I imagine and hope with book 2 that it all ties together.ill admit I was confused by the multiple character story lines within the story. the story was kind of confusing at first with so many charaters and having independent timelines but also no resolution to any of the forthcoming feelings just a confusing cliffhanger

Cute

Cute story but the cut off at the ending was a little disappointing. I didn’t realize it was a series but that ok. I’ll keep reading it.

Well… at least I don’t have to wonder anymore

Like many, social media got me here. After hearing the “I can’t protect both of you when you’re over here” so many times I was ready…for more than this book gave. It was so so slow. It could’ve been forgiven if the main female protagonist had character growth and was worth rooting for but she went from being someone I felt sad for to being someone I just wanted to resolve the plot of so she’d shut up. We get it. Also…I’m sure the side female’s storyline will get better but for this moment in time and for like half of the first book’s run time I just didn’t care. It felt like it was taking time from the main story and when we finally got back to the main story nothing really happened. If this were the first half of one book it could all be forgiven but it’s the full book. Slow and not fulfilling.

A tease

It’s a really cute story but as soon as you think something is going to happen it ends. Also, I really wish they chose to use more than one narrator. She is horrible at make voices and all of the characters sound the same.

It wasn’t great. I was hopeful but ultimately let down in the end. Not interested in second book.

Nice Story

This was a very sweet story. I normally listen to spicy romance novels and this had zero spice.

Intriguing connections and engaging narration

In my first encounter with this author, I found the storyline to be decent initially. However, the multitude of characters and the simultaneous weaving of three different stories left me a bit confused. Yet, as I progressed, I discovered the beautiful interconnection in their backstories, which was wonderfully detailed.

One aspect that slightly detracted from my enjoyment was the protagonist's tendency to reward things excessively. Nonetheless, the narrator's exceptional ability to change her voice for each character created an immersive and entertaining listening experience, keeping my interest intact.

The author's decision to end the book on an intriguing note left me eager to explore her next work. Overall, I would recommend this book as a good listening experience, despite a minor detraction. The intricately connected plotlines, detailed storytelling, and engaging narration make it worth your time.
