Publisher's summary

British bad boy Sterling Quinn needs a wife. After his great-grandfather, the former prince something or another, passes and leaves him millions, he's shocked to discover the massive inheritance has a clause - he needs to clean up his image and be married in order to receive his millions.

When word gets out that this hottie has royal blood running through his veins, and is on the prowl for Mrs. Right, crazy ex-girlfriends, school-yard crushes, and thousands of other hopeful women flock to his doorstep.

What he needs is a manager to help him sort through the clutter.

Enter Camryn Palmer, PR executive. Camryn has had a front row seat to her friend Sterling's revolving-door of a love-life for years. But when she's hired to clean up his image and manage the hordes of women cruising through his bedroom door, she's stuck between a rock and a hard place. Literally.

Yes, she has secret fantasies about being the one to keep his bed warm - what woman doesn't? He's sinfully attractive, and she wants to kiss that cocky English accent right off his lips, but she's got a job to do. She's a professional through and through, and besides, an arranged marriage could never be a happy one. Right?

A Sweet and Sexy Friends to Lovers Romance

A very charming and low angst friends to lovers romance.
The story was very addicting and flowed perfectly.
I loved the characters. Both were very likable and the drama between the two was low and the chemistry was high.
This is one of those great Sunday afternoon reads. The story was light-hearted and sweet. There were some moments of heartache or questionability on what would happen next but definitely nothing to get your panties in a knot. :-)
I truly enjoyed both narrators. They were honestly amazing. They both told the story with just the right amount of emotion and passion.
Sterling had the sexiest British accent and was so alpha male when it came to wanting Camryn. John Lange really made Sterlings character come alive!! Ava Erickson was brilliant! I loved her voice and the way she portrayed Camryn. She made Camryn come across as pure and sweet which is hard to find with female narrators in my opinion, so I highly applaud her.
This British bad boy and his PR Executive learn what it's like to be between a rock and a hard place and its was extremely enjoyable getting to experience their journey at overcoming their obstacles to get to their happily ever after!!
A Great Read that I highly recommend to all my fellow romance readers!!

The Fix Up

I wished I had like this one more. The narrators kept me listening but sadly I was kind over the story-line. I feel like this one has been overdone.

Man needs to marry, women is to set him up and they fall for each other. It was just ok. Like I said the narrators really were the star of this book.

Funny and sexy

Cameron and Sterling provide humor with steamy bedroom escapades. The story moves quickly enough to hold the readers attention while the story is fully involved. It's a fun read!

Love Enduring

I loved this story. A man needs to marry to receive an inheritance but what good does marriage do for a divorce attorney who doesn't believe in marriage. Then he falls for his matchmaker. A great story that takes you on a journey through the love and discovery. The narrators are great and bring the characters to life.

A HOT MESS!

What disappointed you about The Fix Up?

The love story between Cami and Sterling had potential but the premise was too scattered, the plot was under developed and the family relationships and friendships were unexplored. I didn't understand the how's and why's of Sterling being the sole beneficiary of his great grandfather. Who hires a PR person to become a matchmaker? And the "big" matchmaking event was the biggest joke of all -- an employee becomes a potential on the day of the event just like that when there was a screening process that narrowed down the potentials, an ex-girlfriend just waltzes in and the coordinator of the event just walks out in the middle of the event. The whole thing was anything but professional. The female narrator, Ava Erickson, sounds like a teenager which added to the juvenile feel of the story. It was very difficult to finish listening to the end.

What was most disappointing about Kendall Ryan’s story?

I couldn't connect with any of the characters. I liked the relationship between Anna and Cami -- friends since elementary school -- but this lifelong relationship was just blown up with no real explanation or afterthought.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Ava Erickson and John Lange ?

I have listened to several books narrated by Ava Erickson and because her voice sounds like a teenager with braces, it can be difficult to get beyond that. I think her voice is better suited for much younger characters. I will listen if the story is good. John Lange is the only reason I finished this book -- his voice saved an otherwise unlistenable story.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

I was very disappointed and the few sex scenes did not make up for the complete mess of this book.

Any additional comments?

This book could have been so much better with a decent editor -- it had so much potential.

A Good One Time Listen

Would you listen to The Fix Up again? Why?

Unfortunately no. Having only listened to, and not read The Fix Up. I have to rely on the narrator/s to interpret the story. Cami came off as nieve, wishy-washy. I prefer a charactor to start off weak. But I want to see them grow and change throughout the story. Not remain the same. The build up in the relationship between the Cami and Sterling needed to grow.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked Sterling's devotion to his mother.

What does Ava Erickson and John Lane bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Not having read the book I really can't answer this. I really liked John's voice and the sincerity he brought to Sterling's charactor. Ava, even though she has an expressive voice; I don't feel she did Cami's charactor justice.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes and no. Yes because if you didn't you could get lost in the uneven flow of the story. No because it was some times frustrating to listen to Cami's thought process.

Any additional comments?

Sadly I will be returning this book. It's not one that I would want to listen to again. Although I hope to give Kendall's other books a try. Sometimes it's just not a good fit between story and reader/listener. No sense in condeming a writer on the first go around.

Great book

Kendall Ryan has been a favorite of mine for a long time. This is the first audible book I have had of hers and I loved it. Both narrators were awesome and had smooth sultry voices. I will be listening to more books by then and most defiantly be ordering more book by Ms. Ryan

Sexy British fun

Coming into an inheritance, Sterling must find a wife.

Hire a p.r. firm to find him one before the time is up? Of course!

Easy going story full of hot lust, sweet romance, and some drama ( but not drama that will leave you miserable waiting for it to resolve itself ).

Highly enjoyed! And definitely recommend!

Great story of characters from the Hitched series.

I loved this book, I actually listened to the audiobook of this story. I was thrilled after I read all 3 of the Hitched books to get to read more about Sterling and Cameron. It was a fun storyline, they had great chemistry and I loved how Sterling took care of his mother and how much everything he wanted changed when he fell for Cameron. There are some surprises in this story. The narrators Ava Erickson and John Lane did an amazing job.

Adorable

It's the story that what you really need is Love and it's staring you right in the face ... right under your nose and you don't even see it, or does he because he's suddenly not happy with any candidate.
