Publisher's summary

Tabby Gilbert won't let love get in the way of becoming a star.

As a hopeful young actress, Tabby's given the chance of a lifetime: a role in a television series that could make her a star. Tabby is determined to let nothing stop her rise toward fame, but she never could have predicted Moira Knox.

Moira, a critically acclaimed actress, sizzles in her roles on screen, but off camera, she’s cold and so private that no one knows a thing about her life. She and Tabby clash immediately, and Tabby thinks things can't get much worse...until Tabby is cast as Moira's love interest.

The two actresses struggle to understand one another as they act out a passionate romance on screen. Slowly, Tabby begins to glimpse the real Moira Knox, and the chemistry they try so hard to ignore threatens to set them afire. Torn between her career and her feelings for Moira, Tabby is poised for greatness...or a disastrous fall. Can love in the spotlight survive?

Narration was terrible

Narration was horrible. The story had great potential that it did not live up to.

The main character speaking was annoying

Please don’t make anymore books that are this boring, it was ok. It was so cringy, pathetic and sad for the main character to be this obsessed with Moira. I even forgot her name honestly, if someone is being that standoffish every time I talk to them I won’t even try. Also I don’t know what even made her like Moira, must have only been her beauty because she was a robot with no redeeming qualities. You don’t have to be super nice to people but at least be cordial especially if we’ve just met. Things like this just annoy me, I’ve read other books by Marian Snow but this one was meh.

Breathtakingly Amazing!

I am a huge fan of Tiana’s; I love her voice and that she can pull accents for characters. She truly brings Marian’s characters to life.
I gasped aloud multiple times and exclaimed at different scenes, leaving my family confused since I had headphones on while working in the living room.
I was flushed and fanning myself at one very vivid scene which got a “look” from my husband, which was especially worse since the kids were watching LEGO Justice League or something on Netflix.
Marian Snowe is an incredible writer and I look forward to reading or listening to more of her pieces.

Very Good Listen!

if I could, I'd give this more 4.25-4.50 if we're being technical... I really enjoyed the book and loved the narration. the ending seemed a bit abrupt, but that happens sometimes, and I liked the audiobook enough to forgive the quick ending. basically two actresses meet and are cast together on a tv show. the one actress is quiet, Irish, and a star on the rise. the other actress falls for her and the scenes they must act for their show start to imitate their sort of real life relationship and she's about to have a heart attack over whether or not the Irish girl likes her enough to try. it was enjoyable to listen to, but wished for a bit more

slow burn at it’s finest!!

I LOVE this book!! the development felt very realistic and the author did such a great job fleshing out this story. the pacing was just right and so fulfilling when you get to the end.
The narration was perfection. she was able to switch between characters flawlessly. really brought the story to life.
I got so deliciously lost in this story!! BRAVO
(this would be an amazing movie with Katie Mcgrath as Moira :) )

Great Narration; Good Listen.

Great character narration. The story kept me interested, but could have gone in so many more exciting direction.

I dont even know how to describe this!

To be honest, the only reason I finished the book was because I started it. i struggle throughout the book to even pay attention. I havent decided whether the narrator disnt give the story life or simply that the author didn't give us a worthy story or maybe it was the writing style. I felt bored and definitely not engaged with the story nor the characters. I would read nor listen to the book ever again even if they would pay me to do so.
