For beginners and intermediates

I have long wanted a Siberian Husky, but my opportunities to get one have been limited. Luckily, I am now in a situation where I can buy one, so I thought the timing was perfect to research Siberians more to see if they were the right breed for me. Unfortunately, I did not know any Siberian Husky owners, so I had no idea where to begin. However, if there is a "For Dummies" book on a subject, it is never a bad place to start.

This book is very informative and descriptive (and unusually funny, you will laugh often). The author lays out in detail the history of the breed, it's personality, cost, maintenance, how to raise it from being a puppy to a mature adult, and everything in between. (If you plan to use your Siberian as a sled dog, there are two chapters on that subject at the end).

I feel much more prepared now to be a Husky owner after listening this book, and anyone thinking of Husky ownership should listen this book carefully to make sure this is the breed for them, because it is not as easy as owning a Labrador or a Golden Retriever. A fine book

Learned a lot

Awesome audio book! Learned a lot... I now know how much different Siberian Huskies are from other dogs as far as training. I highly recommend this audio book over the other generic puppy training manuals.

The go to book for Siberians!

I bought four other books on huskies (or so they claimed to be on huskies). The information in those books was general info that could be applied to any breed. This book is specific to only the siberian breed. Of course its going to have info that can be applied to other breeds, as does any book about dogs-but I found this book to be the most helpful in explaining why my dog acts the way she acts and what it means. I was hoping for a lil more in depth explanation on why my dog hates baths but that may just be my dog who hates baths and not the breed. Also-it lacked in depth details or tips on how to train stubborn huskies since huskies get bored easily with repetitive training. Overall, I would def recommend this book to any husky owner.

First time husky owner

I have had German Shepherd's for years, and thought a husky addition would be easy. After purchasing my husky I was at a loss. I have trained dogs for years, but this little one really was a handful. After listening the book I received more information on the breed and she has adjusted well. This book really helped me to understand the breed in further detail.

This book was very informative

This book was very informative and fun to listen. I feel ALMOST ready to raise a husky. I don't plan on getting a dog for about two years when I move, but this was still worth listening and will help with how to prepare for a husky and what kind of house/land would be ideal.

GREAT GUIDE

I love this audiobook, I keep it in my bag and read it on my way to and from work. I find myself going back to it all the time and using it as a reference. With a Husky you can never know what they are doing next. This book helps keep a eye open on what they are thinking or plan on doing.

GREAT USER GUIDE.

Good to listen it!

I like the fact that author has a down to earth approach and always with a nice sense of humor.
To read absolutely before buying a Siberian Husky.
Perfect to keep and be sure that we always provide the right care to our dog.

recommended this book

There are a lot of helpful tips in here. There are some things that can vary pending who you ask and how you want to train your dog but overall a must read for first time Husky owners and good tips for those who have had huskies before!

Went and bought a Husky puppy

Loved listening it. It convinced us that we needed a husky puppy. So we bought one. The book should help us with his training.

A good book with a lot of decent information.

This book had everything I wanted to know about huskies. My only complaint was some contradictory information about the dogs shedding. In one section it says huskies don't shed, but in another it says they actually do.

A worthwhile purchase

I am picking up my Husky puppy in two weeks. I wanted to do some research on them. About half of the information in this book relates to training any dog, but it was still very good information and things I had not considered. I did skip over a couple of sections. I don't plan on breeding or showing my husky, nor am I going to train it how to pull a sled. I do plan on keeping this book as a reference point due to it having information about potential health issues. It was a quick and easy book to listen and retain. It was a worthwhile purchase in my opinion and I don't regret it at all.

Great Book for the Price

I am not the best of writers, but this book has been a tremendous help for me in my knowledge to get to learn and understand about the Siberian Husky. It has even offered some tips every dog owner should know. In short, it is a well written book and very easy to understand.
