Aw man

I just started this and I can’t STAND the narrator. Continuous awkward breaks mid sentence. I don’t know if I can’t make it through the book honestly.
Super disappointed.

narration

What i heard of the story, it was good. I just couldn't continue listening. The narrator sounded unsure of what she was reading. There were pauses and she sounded flat. It was like she was handed the book and told to read. Then, her first take was produced. I will give the author and the narrated another chance with other books. However this one is ruined for me.

One of my favorite narrators !

I have difficulty listening to a few narrators, everyone has their own personal preferences! I'll definitely be looking for other audio books with Nicole Haumesser as the narrator.

Brilliant read

This is the first book I read of Marian Snowe and for me was a great introduction. I enjoyed very much the story, the plot, the twists and turns, the characters. Everything is well assembled and works perfect.

I loved this book completely! The suspense, intrigue, romance, passion, the raw emotions and the chemistry of the characters was absolutely fantastic. The storyline moved along flawlessly and kept me engaged at all times. I’d love to see these characters again in another book.

The suspense as well as the characters are very well developed. It is great to see the growth of the characters all through the story. There are a lot of things I didn’t see coming. Got me on edge and turning pages until the end, trying to discover where all the enthralling plot lines would end. Got me hooked me from the first page.

The narration is excellent, Nicole brings all the emotions and the characters to life so well, it’s easy to be part of the story and feel connected to the characters.

It’s an excellent read that I’d like to recommend to anyone who enjoys a good romance, suspense and killer chemistry between the main characters.

I received an ARC copy of the book and voluntarily leaving my review.

All around winner

This is an exceptional audio book. Nicole does an incredible job of bringing the story and the characters to life. The suspense and the personalities are well developed and believable. The layers of this story make it a different type of emotional read than I usually find enjoyable. I was actually disappointed when I finished it. This is the first book I have experienced by Marain Snowe. I am now looking forward to adding anything she has written or will write in the future to my TBR or listened to list.

Narrator just ruined it for me

I don't know if it's a production issue or just the narration, but I couldn't get through it. At times rhe narrator sounds like Siri reading a book to you. She..reads...it.....like..this. Odd pauses and stutters like they're reading a teleprompter that is only giving them 1 to 2 words at a time. I tried speeding up the audio but that made the read parts sound rushed instead of eliminating the gaps. The 2 hours I did listen I liked the story and wanted to know more, but I think it would be better to just read it for myself. I'm so sorry to the author and the narrator, but it just wasn't put together well sound wise.

Great story....horrible narration

The narrator needs a lot of practice. The narrator paused at inappropriate times in a sentence and sounded robotic much of the time.

Loved it

I was kept on my toes the whole book, I loved the way it begins, there were two great main characters and a deep engaging story.
The only thin that I can say is that the quality of the recording is not at best. But narration was excellent.

Holy slow talker

Super predictable, basic lesbian story line. The narrator talks. So. Slow. I had to listen in 2x. She takes these awkward pauses and it’s hard to push through.

Narrator is a problem

I agree with other reviewers the narrator pauses at odd times. If you change the speed to 1.5 it’ll ‘fix’ the problem. All in all it was a good story but not my favorite.
