After Focus has a violent reaction to Danny getting hurt in the line of duty, she starts looking into why the Superhero might be so fixated on her. She begins to suspect that seeing the future might be one of Focus's powers, but when a mission leaves her stranded thirty years in the past, right at the start of Focus's superhero career, everything becomes clear, except why the Focus in the past can barely seem to tolerate her presence.

Lesbian Superheroes, Time Travel, and Streamy Romance..!! What can be more exciting? This book is an excellent listen, highly recommend it.

An excellent superhero origin

A superhero origin story with highs and lows that amazingly works very well in the world Molly J Bragg has created. A paradoxical story that works because of the romance between the two main characters is written so poignantly. While the narrator should work on Welsh accents, overall a good performance. Highly recommended if a fan of the Dreadnought series, which I am.

This was such a fun story!

This book is more of a love story. While it does have lots of action, it’s more about their love. It’s a really good book. The narrator was perfect for this character.

Not my usual fare, but I loved it

I recently got into lesbian fantasy books, and man I’ve been missing out. This book was thoroughly entertaining, and enjoyable. The love story is EXTREMELY unique and super cute. I found myself loving Ayonda and wanting more of her, as in I wish we got her POV. Maybe one day we will get a book from her POV. That would be so awesome.

The intimate scenes were….interesting lol. It all works tho. The book was fun as heck. I’ll def be checking out the rest of the series.

So So Good!

such a good story! it got so much done is so little time. I wish I could just have stayed w the characters forever.
narrator was good! present to listen to, not distracting.
my one (small) gripe was that I noticed some repeat wording. the phrase "a few mins later" was used often enough that I noticed and distracted me a bit.
But again, such a good book! super excited for the next one!
