Love It! A Refreshingly Different PNR!

Why Am I Just Now Hearing About Brenda Tetreault?

Salvaged was AWESOME! I debated if I wanted to start this series, then I debated if I wanted to start with book one. Well, after I decided, I started with book two. That was a mistake but a GOOD mistake. I freaking loved it, and have already downloaded started listening to book one. I recommend this story to any PNR fan who loves unique and interesting characters, multiple plots, and POV's, but suggest starting with book one.

I can't compare this story to anything I've listened too so far. The best I can come up with is it's a Paranormal Fairytale Romance. It has Cupid's son. Yes! You read that correctly CUPID's son who is freaking HOT by the way, and when this story is over, he will leave you swooning. Caius (cupid's son) had his heart broken centuries ago. He was left bitter, and uses his "special powers" to seduce women, and leaves them broken hearted for revenge all in the name of the one who broke his heart. He's determine if he ever crosses paths with the women who broke his heart, he will take his revenge on her, but when Caius comes face to face with Wren, he's not so sure if he can go through with his plan.

Salvaged had the perfect balance between steamy, and sappy and topped with action. I loved the well written plot, the multiple POV's, and the sex scenes, they were really HOT!

Sonja Fields did an amazing job on the narration. Her performance was perfectly paced, and she used the right amount of tones and inflection to deliver each scene flawlessly.

This was an unexpected, delightful story, that was well worth the time! Brenda, and Sonja I hope the rest of the series will be out in audio soon! It's auto-download for me!

Salvaged

This is a nice addition to the series. I can't wait to see where the couple's end up in the next book. Learning what happened to make cupid's son so angry with women really gives you a great perception into the series.

Love, Love, Love

What made the experience of listening to Salvaged the most enjoyable?

The whole story is amazing and really hits the heart. The narrator is wonderful.

What did you like best about this story?

Pretty much everything!

Have you listened to any of Sonja Field’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

She also did the first book, and she does an excellent job in both.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The sacrifices Caius is willing to make for Wren. The depth and passion of Caius and Wren's love, and also Caine and Gaela's love.

Any additional comments?

Full Review -

Another wonderfully amazing book by Brenda Tetreault! I am loving this series! The writing and characters are excellent, and the story really pulls you in. The depth of feeling and passion these characters feel for each other is sigh worthy. I listened to the audiobook version, and once again the narrator was amazing! She also did the audiobook for the first book, and she was great reading that book too. She does multiple voices and accents, and really brings the story to life. In Salvaged, we learn more about why Caius is the way he is, and it is just heart-wrenching! Caius' wife, Wren, leaves him without telling him because she believes she will be the death of him, and after searching for her and not finding her, Caius' heart breaks and he goes down a path of destructive ways. Caius screws tons of random women, and uses his powers as Cupid's son to make the women fall into despair, and because of these actions Caius' father, Cupid, decides it is time to take drastic actions to bring his son back. I felt so bad for Caius and Wren, it was difficult to hear about the pain Caius feels due to the actions of Wren, and it was difficult to hear about his destructive ways with lots of women, but I had hope for them to find a way back to each other. The events of the past make the path difficult for Wren and Caius, and Wren's guilt eats away at her and has turned her into a harder women. Poor Wren! She made some really bad decisions, and I really felt like she should've known better as a Valkyrie that her actions could be the very thing that causes the events that she is afraid of. The depth of love and passion they feel for each other is so sweet, and when they are together the chemistry is amazing. We also get more of Caine and Gaela, which I love! Their story is another heart-wrenching story, and I so want them to have their happily ever after. Caine has been cursed to kill Gaela, the woman he loves, so he is trying to stay away from her, but these 2 want and love each other so much, they can't stay away from each other and would even rather be dead then away from the other. Follow your hearts people! I am definitely reading the next book in this series, and others from Brenda Tetreault because her books are just terrific! Definitely read this and the first book! So good!

God! I'd forgotten how good these are!

Where does Salvaged rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

In its genre, it's a-1. Weird, paranormal, angsty romance is sort of a favorite of mine, and this book is SOOOOOO freaking great!

What other book might you compare Salvaged to and why?

Possibly the Black Dagger Brotherhood, but with 1/4 of the steamy sex scenes.

Which character – as performed by Sonja Field – was your favorite?

Caius. For sure.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes! The ending was really liquid, but the implications were traumatizing, even while tittilating.

Any additional comments?

The voice actor is a solid bonus to this series, which I've already read in ebook, and loved.

Why Are The Heroines In Romance Stories So

hellbent on making life easy for the heroes?
I guess it wouldn't be a novel then, just a novelette. Blood feuds, especially old blood feuds are such a bunch of bull. The new characters in the story hold promise of much more to come. I wonder what stories will be wrought with Boon's sister and Wren's older sister? The narrator does a great job with the author's story. This was a review copy, thank you for the listen.

4 Salvaged Stars

I am always surprised when an author can make me hate a character then turn around and make me like them.
That’s what happened with this book.

Caius was not a nice fella in the first book, but in this book we find out what he is not Caius. Doesn't that make sense? Wren too has been going through the wringer and is the reason Caius was so terrible in the last book.

But mending of hearts and souls is not easy and it takes a lot of trust and letting go to get there.

Then we have Kane and Gayla.. I am glad we got some of them sorted out only to not. Lol
Yeah there love affair is still on going and doesn't have a HEA yet…

Loved this narrator; she has a way of making you want to keep listening to her. I love that.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*
