The Story Continues

Usually I wouldn't buy another book by any author that leaves me hanging. However I really fell in love with these characters. So much so that I went out and bought the paperbacks. But must say I really, really, like the audio's. Specially the narrator Eric G. Dove who does a fantastic job narrating all of them. Not only do they keep one on the edge of their seat, they are so funny I laugh out loud as I picture this little town and all the town's people. Be sure to buy all of this series as it is more than worth it.

So Close!

This is not great writing - in fact, it's rather shallow and immature. Nevertheless, in spite of myself, I've somehow become involved with the series. The idea - the premise of the story is great - it's just that the plot and especially the relationships between the characters are not very well developed. Things happens very quickly with little or no explanation and I frequently have a "how did this happen?" reaction. The narrator seems to get good reviews, but I think he sounds somewhat forced and enforces the lack of depth. All of this being said - I have to admit to being entertained and I will probably listen to more of the series. Maybe a good female reader would help out a bit.

A little flat

I love the picture chosen for this book but similar to book one in the series, this one had zero passion and the love story developed literally over two dates. Don’t see that happening in real life so it was hard for me to totally get into a story where the main characters were SOOOO in love so quickly. Weak action sprinkled here and there and good narration. Not sure if I can recommend it as great work of action or romance, but it was entertaining enough.

CLIFFHANGER

I hate cliffhangers! With that said, I do like this series. This story is about Danielle and Mo. It has the same characters as book #1. This series is a continuous story of the folks in "Keeneston" Kentucky. The 3 "Rose" sisters, "the Fairy Godmothers" steal the story. There's lots of action in this story. Fun and some steamy scenes too. Worth the Romance Package!! I absolutely hate using my credit for stories less than 8 hrs long or buying them.

Better Narration, Worse Story

2.5 stars rounded up.

It had some interesting parts, which is why I've rounded up instead of down. It was worse than the first book, though. The relationship between the main 2 didn't make me feel anything. I was actually bored for most of the 2nd half. I don't know what it is about this series, but I almost want to know what happens in the next book. It's sort of like a train wreck, you should look away, but you can't.

Narrator:

Eric G Dove-4 stars-much much better here than the 1st book.

Recommended

The second in the Bluegrass Series, really more of a serial. Although this story can stand on its own, I highly recommend reading Bluegrass State of Mind first. This story does end in a wicked cliff hanger.

Dani is now joining Kenna in Keeneston, KY and the threat is increasing. As the whole town comes together to keep thr two women safe, there is fun, laughter & not a little romance in the air to make it interesting.

Couldn't finish

The main character Dani is a drop dead model type. She meets Moe briefly. The next day he brings her flowers and they are in love!? Sorry I can't do it again! I finished the first book even though the relationship between those characters was not believable. I thought maybe the author would improve? Nope. Again the story had promise but there is no chemistry when you don't buy into the relationship.
