Publisher's Summary

There were two brothers - identical twins - and though I loved them both, my soul belonged to only one.

Annalia Del Valle has loved Preston Sawyer all her life. The daughter of an impoverished migrant farmworker, she grew up as an outcast in what was no more than a tiny, cooped-up shack in California's Central Valley. But her heart found freedom in the land, in the wide-open spaces of Sawyer Farm, and in the boys who were her only friends.

Preston has yearned for Annalia since he was a boy. But a sense of honor kept him from pursuing her until he's unable to hold back any longer and their worlds - and bodies - collide one hot summer night. A night that sets off a chain of events that will alter their lives forever.

Now Annalia is back in town after disappearing without a trace for six long months. Determined to reclaim her heart, her life, and the baby she left behind - the son who was created in a moment of lust and love and pent-up yearning.

Preston has survived grief, a ravaging drought, and the despair of heartache, but he's not sure he can survive Annalia again. And he might be unwilling to try. Will pride and bitterness keep him from the one thing he's always longed for?

How do you heal what is irreparably broken? How do you forgive that which is unforgivable? How do you discover that real honor comes not from circumstance, but from the place deep in our hearts where truth resides? And how do you move beyond the wounds of the past to discover that some loves are as solid as the ground beneath your feet, and as enduring as the earth itself?

This is a stand-alone Sign of Love novel, inspired by Gemini. New adult contemporary romance. Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for listeners under the age of 18.

Heartwarming and Heartwrenching

I love that Mia Sheridan's characters are flawed people not necessarily good or bad, jut people who make mistakes. Well actually, there was at least one bad person, Alicia. This is a very touching story of two brothers who love a girl but in different ways since they were children but how the love manifests has repercussions that affect all of their lives. Mia and Preston have a lot to overcome to have the relationship they've wanted since childhood. The one theme throughout the story is that love, understanding and forgiveness can heal many broken relationships -- and there were plenty of broken relationships to deal with in the book.

Amazing narration -- I couldn't stop listening until the end.

Absolutely worth a credit and maybe a cry too.

Spinning the story

I love Mia's stories, love. I anticipate the twists and turns of her characters as the story unfolds and builds. Lia and Preston were so lost and listening to them find their way and make their love stronger was wonderful.

The narration did grow on me and by the end I could listen and totally be in character, the male's females voice was the most challenging for me, but really enjoyed the rest.

okay book

I loved the female narrator, she was amazing. The guy...sometimes he came across as creepy and I didn't enjoy his narration. The story, overall, was ok. It wasn't anything that great.

Love Mia's books!!!

I'm a follower of MS books because they usually involve first loves, first times and/or second chances with plenty of angst (cause of 1 star removal). This was no different. I liked the narrators. It was my first listen to Mercedes Moreno and I really enjoyed. Worth my credit: yes!!!

Was looking forward to something different....

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Well, the female lead was so forlorn and desperate that it was hard to listen to... I mean over the top self deprecation and kinda left you feeling hopeless. The male lead - I wanted to like him but he was not able to communicate at all and left you frustrated....

Would you ever listen to anything by Mia Sheridan again?

I have in the past and enjoyed most of her books but this one was out there....

What didn’t you like about J.F. Harding and Mercedes Moreno ’s performance?

The female lead sounded like she was talking to toddlers....

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

frustration at the potential

Beautifully Done

This was one of Mia's best works, Archer's Voice still is #1, but Preston and Annalia were
very interesting, very hard to put this one down! I also really liked Stinger - she has others that capture me but those are my top picks.

Preston and Annalia assume nothing and take the world on their shoulders. So much the
same and so star-crossed. I've been stunned more in the last few years at the prejudice and stereotypes that still exist and I believe it - Mia never gets too heavy handed. Absolutely love it and the realism she manages to project into it. Just like Archer, I believe it and am enthralled by the plot. Mia knows how to bring you into their world and touches your heart with their voices - Thank you Mia, for your special corner in the world of Romance and HEA! LOVE THAT I am, as always awaiting your next installment!

too few happy moments

I like a romance book that is actually about romance rather than just sex, and this one qualified on that count, but there was too much unpleasantness for my taste. I wanted more enjoyable moments throughout the book rather than having to wait until the very end for the characters to experience any happiness.
