Publisher's Summary

Police officer Isabelle St. John loves her crazy, loud law-enforcement family. With three brothers and two sisters, she's never without someone to hang out with - or fight with. And she knows they'll be there for her when things get tough. Like when her partner is murdered and she barely escapes with her own life.

Determined to discover exactly what happened, Izzy's investigation sends her headfirst into a criminal organization, possibly with cops on the payroll - including someone from her own family. With her dead partner's handsome homicide detective brother Ryan shadowing her every move, Izzy's head is spinning. How can she secure justice for her partner when doing so could mean sending someone she loves to prison? And how will she guard her heart when the man she's had a secret crush on for years won't leave her side?

Oath of Honor

Riveting. The suspense is fast paced and non stop. The narrator was also outstanding. I'm looking forward to more by this author and am so thankful this was published on audio. I'm blind and listen to all my books.

Narrators expression a little odd

What a great story! It seemed Eason did a more outstanding job than usual in creating a real feel to her characters. Their personalities were very genuine. The narrator’s voice was pleasant. However her inflection and the areas where she would speed up her reading and run thru places where a pause would have been appropriate made for an awkward listening experience. I got used to it tho and really enjoyed the book.

Great start to a new series!

We love Lynette Eason's books, and this one lives up to our expectations. She keeps the action and drama going full speed. We appreciate all the research she does to make her books realistic and believable. We highly recommend this and all of her books!

A small bit of difficulty with the narration

I really enjoyed the story as I have all of Lynette Eason's books. My only complaint, even though small, was that the narrator hardly changed her voice style or inflection from one character to another. Sometimes it was difficult to tell which character was saying what.

Not Her Best Book

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I haven't finished it and i'm not sure I will. She is not a very good police officer. Seems clueless about obvious answers. Ms Eason usually has smarter, more competent characters.

Would you be willing to try another book from Lynette Eason? Why or why not?

yes. I have listened to many of her books and have liked them.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Callie Beaulieu?

If the book is something I really wanted to listen to I would. I wouldn't seek out books that she narrated.

Do you think Oath of Honor needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

no. Not impressed with the characters in this book.

Any additional comments?

If you don't mind that the characters miss the glaringly obvious then you may really like this book.
