About this listen

Former tennis player Easton Bradbury is trying to be the best teacher she can be, trying to reach her bored students, and trying to forget her past. What brought her to this stage in her life isn't important. She can't let it be. But now one parent-teacher meeting may be her undoing....

Meeting Tyler Marek for the first time makes it easy for Easton to see why his son is having trouble in school. The man knows how to manage businesses and wealth, not a living, breathing teenage boy. Or a young teacher, for that matter, though he tries to. And yet there is something about him that draws Easton in - a hint of vulnerability, a flash of attraction, a spark that might burn. Wanting him is taboo. Needing him is undeniable. And his long-awaited touch will weaken Easton's resolve - and reveal what should stay hidden.

Narrators voice sounds like she's in 50s or 60s Not a young girl and reads quickly and doesn't flow well

Need different narrators

Thigh the female narrator was good at the fmc and expressions, she did NOT found like a 23yo woman. Her male voices at times I feel were higher pitched than females voices. Also, she didn't pull off expressions or cue bits on the male parts as well. Like when mmc would have dialog and it would say "he whispered" or "in a low growl..." she read it high pitched and just wasn't easy on the ears. Story was over all decent. Narrators just really make or break a book.

Good story, meh female narrator

Her voice was very annoying, and it didn’t fit the character. Not the voice of a 23 year old.

The narrator’s voice

I related a lot to the FMC. Trauma changes you and how you interact with others. It doesn’t change how you wish to be loved or love. Good love story. Like that the FMC isn’t whiney and useless in most love stories

Realizing trauma changes you…

What did you love best about Misconduct?

Penelope Douglas did a great job building up the characters. You want to feel for and with them.

What did you like best about this story?

I really liked the story line.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Carrie Brach and Guy Locke ?

Probably not. As odd as this probably sounds they just didn't sound anything like how I envisioned the characters. Plus not a lot of emotion was put into the narration.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

In Esten's classroom when Jack was talking to her. I was like Nooooooo.... and then they went outside and I was like NOOOOOOOO....... Very emotional.

Any additional comments?

I love this book. The narration was not one of my favorites but the story itself was perfect.

Great Story

I’ve listened to almost all of this author’s other books, and while I really enjoyed the other books, this one fell short. Not a lot of depth to the characters or story. It almost reads as a first draft, still waiting for more to be added. The narrators were fine, not my favourite, but overall they were fine. The female narrator seemed too old to be reading for a 23 year old girl, lacked enthusiasm.

Not her best book.

What a great story. It was very enjoyable however the narrators sucked. It would have been so much better with different actors/narrators. Very well written.
