GOOD!

I enjoyed this book however, I would have probably gotten more enjoyment if I had read the two previous books for background purposes. This book is a novella so it was over quickly but did not lack in entertainment. The narration was good and kept you entertained. This was my first book by this author but definitely will not be my last. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This book says it is the 3rd of a series, though the first 2 don't seem to be available on Audible. I found that to be very odd. For the book itself, it was just ok. The narrator does a good job on voicing the characters, but the story just wasn't that engaging. I felt like I was missing something. I would guess that is because this is book 3. Anyway, that is just my opinion.

Book 3

While listening to this book I had the distinct feeling that i was missing something, turns out there was a reason, this is book 3. I wish I'd read the other books first, while this worked OK as a standalone, I can't help feeling it would have been better if I'd have the information from the other books before reading this.

I was still able to enjoy the book, the story is well written and I loved the character interactions, but I had trouble understanding their motivations.

Skogul was a very interesting character, I loved how strong she was even while she had no memory of who she is.

By the end I wanted more, I'll definitely read/listen to the rest of the series at some point.

The character accents blew me away, their so well done, the overall narration flows well, it's got a natural pace and rhythm.

Can you love a Valkyrie?

If you read this story, you certainly can. Parts of this story were really well written and fun to listen to. But the story, as a whole, was a little confusing to follow. The author did a wonderful job with the love/feelings, sections in the Audio book. Really connected with those parts of the book. I received this Audio book for free in exchange for an unbiased review. Thanks!

Good quick listen. The premise was interesting and the characters fit well together. The narration was also good.

DARK & LOST MEMORIES OF LOVE...

This is the first book in the series I've read/listened to, and enjoyed it. I feel like there's more to know, but I got the gist of things as the story progressed.

Skogul, a Valkyrie, is an intense and interesting character, very strong and determined, but doesn't know who she is. Then she meets Aidan.....
Enjoyed the story, and the narration, very nicely done, and I'd welcome reading/listening to more in the series :)

Great audio book!!!

Really enjoyed listening to this story! Plenty of action and sexy love scenes with a focus on love, honor and loyalty

Not Very Interesting

I think the blurb for this book is the best part. I really had my hopes up to enjoy this story but was left wanting. The story starts off with talk of raping a prisoner, although this doesn't happen it still set a bad taste in my mouth. The story really didn't keep my attention and I found myself drifting while listening. The narration was was a bit monotone. The voices were well done but all other reading was a bit too level voiced to my liking. Where I feel having listened to the first two books of this series first might have made a bit of difference with the story's smoothness, this story just didn't capture me or remove the bad taste.
