Love must rise in a desert of adversity....
Maia isn’t your run-of-the-mill lass.
A professional dancer with the Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas, her vision is becoming the most skilled dancer of the troupe. Life might have been easier if she just jumped on the pole, becoming the lascivious focus of randy men, and certainly more lucrative in the short term, but that life wasn’t for her.
When she needs to clear her mind, she collects desert glass in the Mojave Desert. But the desert doesn’t always give you what you want. Sometimes it gives you what you need.
A red dragon.
Maia had no idea her strange hobby will bring her face-to-face with a freakishly handsome dragon shifter, an encounter that will turn her world on its head.
From the moment she met Ignacio, she knew she was down for the ride. She’d never met anyone with such fiery passion and mystery, and she couldn’t get enough. Who knew that passion would open the floodgates of love, but may also bring about their downfall?
Mad About the Dragon is the first novel in the paranormal romance Dragon in My Heart standalone series, which can be enjoyed in any order. If you’re a fan of thrillers, exciting story lines and steamy love scenes, then get your hands on this exhilarating story by Selene Griffin!
Listen to Mad About the Dragon to find out if they managed to find their way out of the darkness surrounding them!
Maia and Ignacio have a fiery hot romance! Mad About the Dragon was a well written story that left me wanting more! I felt that Ignacio’s gift to Maia was very endearing, until it became the one reason for a crazy roller coaster of a ride. In a way I would love for this story to be longer as I want to know more details about Maia and Ignacio’s past. Meghan Kelly is extremely talented and one of my favorite narrators. She has a tremendous talent for bringing life to each character. Definitely a series I will continue to follow.

3 Stars for story; 5 Stars for performance. Mad About the Dragon is a fast paced short story of a human woman who meets a dragon shifter one afternoon in the desert. The paranormal romance story has romance, some adventure, trouble for the couple. The narrator, Ms. Kelly, did a wonderful job with individual voices, appropriate tone inflections, and speed of reading. I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This is a quick listen with a dragon and a human. Maia comes across Ignacio and instant love. She trusts him immediately, even when things look bad. I found at times the story moved along smoothly, but it had moments that caused me to question where the story was going. It was still a decent story.
I received a copy of this audiobook as a gift, and this is my unsolicited review.
Very good story I can not wait to listen to the next book. Maia and Iglsas ' story drew me in from the very first words.
Mad About the Dragon was my first read from author Selene Griffin back in December of 2017. A HEA fantasy romance, the book was short but morphed into quite the adventure. When the chance to revisit the work as an audiobook came up I was happy to do so. Having recently read Mistakenly Married the Dragon it was good to revisit the beginnings of the series. The only way it could have been improved was if it were a full-length book. I’m not normally a shifter reader, but this is a well-written story by a good author and the characters and storyline would work just as well with main-stream characters and setting. Narrator Meghan Kelly’s talented & varied voice inflections add greatly to the listening enjoyment.
The storyline of Mad About the Dragon was engaging, as were the main characters. The plot moves along at a fast clip and there is lots of action and romance. I would have liked to feel like I knew the characters better, though. The narration was okay but there wasn’t enough variation between characters. I received an advance copy of this book and left an honest review.
