Publisher's summary

Gravity is not your normal, sweet romance of childhood friends to lovers. Spanning over 20 years - it's raw, it's real, asking the question if soul mates really exist.

Lily At eight years old, the boy next door changed my life. He was the force pulling me toward him despite our differences. It was like magic. We understood each other, supported each other and in the process became everything to each other.

But in chasing Trevin's dream, I lost myself along the way.

Trevin Through tremendous heartache, she was there. Through fame and fortune, she was there. Loving Lily was the one thing I got right.Eclipsing her in my shadow, I took from her until she was empty. Now I must do anything to prove I can be the man she wants, no, the man she deserves.

This audio book was redone with a new female narrator on May 24, 2019 which fixed any audio issues.

Mesmorizing!

This story is the epitome of the love you hope to find in life. To love unconditionally even when that means letting go. Heart breakingly beautiful to watch these two characters grow up together and try to hold onto a friendship that runs so deep it hurts. Issues we face day to day, but having someone there always, knowing they will love you forever. Wow.

I am not sure if it was just my player or not, but it seems as if it had some feedback noise through the whole book. I would actually have to read the book to see if it was written the way it was read, or if those were mistakes I heard. Overall, a fabulous read!

love the story but audio needs work.

On June 28, 2019 I listened to the audiobook after reading the book numerous times. Listening to the story brought out things that I and missed before. I hadn't realized how many times the reason for the title was brought up in some way. It was touching. It added to the story and the importance of Lily in Trevin's life.

This was the first book I read by Lauren Runow and the first audiobook of Lauren Runow's that have I listened to. I feel like I just got off a crazy rollercoaster full of emotion. I have laughed. I have cried. I have sat in shock. I have fumed. I have even screamed out some colorful language all thanks to the creative writing of the author. My issues aren't with the story, but with the female narrator.

She was disappointing. She came across as if this was her first narration, lacking emotion. While the young voice worked better in the beginning, but last Lily got older it hindered the story. The male voice narration was much easier to listen and enjoy. You could hear the sincerity of the character and even the regret in his actions making for a much more enjoyable listen.

We meet Lily and Trevin when they are in elementary school. They are neighbors. They are best friends. They are everything. Even from the beginning they were proof that opposites attract. She comes from a good family. Trevin's is the dictionary illustration for dysfunctional. Lily is the one thing that helps him survive, helps him live. And then he leaves to become a successful rockstar. He soon realizes that without Lily there is no life.

This is a story about the challenges to make a relationship work. This is a story of inner strength. This is a story of determination, giving hope to all romantics. This is a story that shows that love can save someone and friendship is the best stepping stone to love. Don't give up. Actions speak louder than words.

So many ups and downs in the rock world!

This is truly a book with all the feelings. Lily and Trev meet when they're 8 years old and become best friends. It's a roller coaster ride of emotions when they go from friends to lovers then back to friends. Trev is a rock star while Lily is a good girl that doesn't fit into his world. The plot is good and the love they feel is so real. Can they really work through this or find a HEA with someone else? Have some tissues handy!

Friends to lovers and maybe second chance too!

This is my first time with this author and these narrators as well. I have bought books by Lauren but have yet to get to my TBR so when I won this audiobook, I was so excited.

The narration is great but the young Trevin didn’t sound much different from the older guy. Jay does a fabulous job with the singing! Bridget’s performance as Lily was amazing.

This story is very moving and it makes you root for Trevin and Lily and their relationship thru two decades. As you follow them along it’s full of real heart wrenching details but through it all the love they have for one another remains. It’s a beautifully written book and very worth the time to listen to this! Thank you for gifting me this audiobook, much appreciated ❣️

Captivating Friends to Lovers Romance!

This friends to lovers romance is a raw and emotional roller-coaster. Lily and Trevin have been friends and neighbors since they were 8 yrs old. Their home lives were so different, with Lily having a loving and supportive family and Trevin living with an abusive father. They supported and grounded each other through all lifes' events and milestones even when their paths took them to different parts of the world. This story spanned 20 years and was sweet, frustrating, raw, heartbreaking, and hopeful. I didn't agree with many of their choices as they grew and matured. I wanted to yell at them both at times but I cheered for them all the way.
This is my first listen to narrators Jay Lindenwood, and Mackenzie Jamieson. I loved their young voices for Lily and Trevin and thought their growth to adult voices was wonderful. I thought they were both perfectly cast and enjoyed their performance. I especially loved Jay's singing voice and would have enjoyed more of that. I was a bit distracted by some production issues including some occasional background noise and repeating of words/sentences. Despite these occasional distractions I was able to get lost in this story.
This is my first experience with Ms. Runow's work and I loved how she pulled me in and held me captive. I'm a huge fan of a grand gesture and the beautiful ending had me totally swooning. I really enjoyed this moving and passionate love story.

Sweet love story

I loved the relationship between the characters, but the book dragged in the end somewhat.

My Two Pennies

Wow can I give more then 5 stars because seriously this story was incredible. What an emotional roller coaster ride in the best possible way. I'm a mess writing this review right now taking myself right back into Lily and Trevin's story. This book was intense and such beautifully written, it was heartbreaking heartwarming and sexy all wrapped together. To see how Trevin grew up with all that he went through at such a young age destroyed me, having Lily there through it all to be by his side just shows the kind of soul she has. I was in tears multiple times while reading this but I was also turned on and laughing at other moments. You want to cheer them both on and at the same time you want to see them both fulfill their own dreams. I'm trying my hardest not to give anything away because you MUST READ their story. I know you will fall deeply in love with Lily & Trevin just as I have. I couldn't put this book down nor did I want to. What more can I say? Lauren Runow has written a beautiful grab hold of your heart and soul story. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.
