It was a lovely story, so well written, and the narrator was excellent. How difficult it is to take a step of faith when you have been let down so badly previously! But nothing is impossible with God!
I just love these kind of stories that gives you hope even in the hardest time .. Robin lee hatcher is my new favorite author :)
Would you listen to Betrayal again? Why?
I've already listened to Betrayal twice. It makes me feel hopeful.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Betrayal?
What I remember the most is when Hugh first told Julia he loved her. I almost cried.
Which scene was your favorite?
My favorite scene was when Julia and Hugh were at her place of worship, and he decided to reenact the children's story he used to read to his sisters. It made me laugh.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The moments of prayer seemed to move me the most, and the quoting of scripture.
Any additional comments?
I fully expect to listen to Betrayal again. It will always be a source of strength and encouragement for me. Thankfully it will always be with me as long as I have my faithful Kindle!
I didn't even finish this book because it was so boring but the major reason was because the voice of the reader was SO awful , it was just too hard to listen to... I might have enjoyed the book more if I had read it myself.
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
Not listing to it.
Would you be willing to try another book from Robin Lee Hatcher? Why or why not?
Never in audio.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Laural Merlington?
Irrelevant
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Betrayal?
In audio format, all but the last chapter
Any additional comments?
i enjoy reading Ms Hatcher's novels but this is a novel not meant for audio. The plot and pace of novel are too slow. I fell asleep listing to it. The only way to get through it, is to skip chapters. Read it, don't listen to it.
