Publisher's Summary

A killer with a white picket fence.

Suburbia, a great place for a man with secrets to hide - while investing in some solid real estate. The biggest drawback?

Neighbors.

In this case, a neighbor with sexy curves and a bright smile. Good thing she's not his type. Single moms with annoying exes are on the do-not-date list.

Stay away.

Calvin wants to; it's just not happening. He can't help but find himself drawn to the chaos next door. And when danger threatens his suburban lifestyle, this assassin doesn't hesitate to act.

Killing people is easy. Domestication, on the other hand, terrifies him.

A great action packed love story

Eve Langlais did another great job as a story teller. This story had ALOT of situation those people that survive domestic violence or being with an aggressive person that gaslights their victims & abuses their respect position in the community.. This story will make you cheer. Worth a credit.. yes

Siri

The narrator has a voice like Siri. The overall story was kind of predictable. The characters were interesting and there is room to improve going forward.

Assassins Are Awesome - Triple A's

Would you consider the audio edition of Assassin Next Door to be better than the print version?

I have not read the print version yet. But the audible version is fantastic.

What did you like best about this story?

The story had me from the very start. When his hit dies before he can kill him. I did laugh out loud at work. Calvin was honest with Lily about his job but she would never believe him. Then she tries to protect him because she thinks he will get hurt for being a good Samaritan. When Calvin figures out that Zoe (Lily's daughter) has him charmed too...well he figures out that he wants them as a family..LOVE IT!!!

What about Rebecca Mitchell’s performance did you like?

Rebecca did a great job performance with each of the character's in this book.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed out loud many times during the audio. I was very surprised when it was revealed what Lily's Ex-husband did has a job.

Any additional comments?

I really do LOVE the the first book in the Bad Boy Inc. series by Eve Langlais. I can't wait for the next book in this series. I have already pre-ordered Pint-Sized Protector Book 2. YAY

Doesn't work for me.

Don't like the characters, they are formulaic and i don't feel much empathy for them. The story doesn't flow.
I like Eve Langlais' other books so I decided to give this one a try; I won't be reading any more in this series.
