great take on litrpg

not your typical hum drum litrpg.. the author always has a unique take on the genre.. get this book, you won't regret it

Amazing GameLit Novel

I've gone through countless GameLit series and Standalones- And this is easily in my Top Three. The Author subverted expectations with how they skipped the tropes we all know in the genre. This isn't another "guy sucked into a portal and has to play the game or die for real"- This has more relatable stakes, more relatable emotions, and a unique game system that is different from the standard ROG and Cultivation systems most GameLit goes for.

I highly recommend giving this a read!

finished strong

Ok so I only have one problem with this book and it has to do with the attitude of the main character. However over the course of the book it got a lot better but did pause numerous times to yell at the MC lol the good thing is that over time the MC finally listened to me and the story ended in a way that I want to read a book two.

Fun Book

I really enjoyed this book. Lots of action and suspense. Well worth trying it out.

Great narrator

The narrator makes this book better than the raw material. The underlying story was pretty well-written, with each character sporting very distinct personalities. The author puts our MC on a hero's journey and starts him off as a cocky ass, maybe going a bit overboard in the depiction, but not so much that it spoils credibility. The dialog was only so-so, with the witty repartee somewhat less witty than what the average person could achieve in real life. The story got slow in the middle, with the quests not very exciting and our characters not showing the skill or knowledge you'd expect from someone with their experience. The climactic scenes, however, were fairly gripping.

An Awesome Underdog Adventure, Expertly Narrated

I had an absolute blast listening to this adventure. A+ on the narration. I fell in love with these characters through the writing and storytelling. A fantastic story of found family.

Outstandingly Underwhelming

The story is so meh... I'm about a quarter way through and I don't care about any of the characters, the protagonist especially is so unlikable, such a hypocrite. I took a chance on this cause it was new and had only one review, but overall just Meh...
