Publisher's Summary

Based on Dharma talks by Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh and insights from participants in retreats for healing the inner child, Reconciliation is an exciting contribution to the growing trend of using Buddhist practices to encourage mental health and wellness.

Reconciliation focuses on the mindful awareness of our emotions and the healing of our relationships as well as meditations and exercises to acknowledge and transform the hurt that many of us experienced as children. Hanh shows how anger, sadness, and fear can become joy and tranquility by learning to breathe with, explore, meditate, and speak about our strong emotions.

Written for a wide audience and accessible to people of all backgrounds and spiritual traditions, Reconciliation offers specific practices designed to bring healing and release for people suffering from childhood trauma.

Life Changing book

After a lifetime struggle coming to terms with severe trauma as a child, I have found in this book an answer to how to heal. I am now 79!

Excellent content but poor narration

I have to reread this book in a physical copy because the narrator’s voice is very mournful. If you’ve ever heard Thich Nhat Hanh speak, he has a way of speaking the most serious topics with joy. I have liked all the other narrators for Thich Nhat Hanh’s books but this particular narrator... I just couldn’t get over how sad his voice was- it was very distracting and not in align with the nourishing content of the book.

A well-written. well-narrated intro to inner child healing

This invaluable narration takes the listener to reflect first hand on inner child healing with anecdotes that fit well in one's history.

There is so much to learn from this audiobook book I had to listen to it three times: while driving, while working out, at home. As a result of the listening, my notes are copious, my action list long. My healing has begun.

Wonderful book. Highly recommended to anybody.

Reconciliation by Thich Nhat Hanh

Would you consider the audio edition of Reconciliation to be better than the print version?

It was very good in the audio version. I don't have the print version to compare with the audio version.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Reconciliation?

When he read about connecting with your inner child and healing wounds from childhood.

Have you listened to any of Edoardo Ballerini’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, first one

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Not really. It was all good.

Any additional comments?

I liked the performer and his voice.

Exceptional!!!

I very much enjoyed this book, so much so I am re-listening to it; as to continue to learn from it. Yes the author speaks from a Budist Philosophy perspective, which I enjoyed. but if you listen to the message it pertains to all of us regardless to our beliefs. For those reviewers who rejected this book because of this you lost out on an important lesson. I highly recommend you add this book to your reading list.

Soul Healing

Listening to Tich Nhat's words, and Edoardo's voice, is medicine for the soul. It should be prescribed to every human being.

Very superficial

I didn’t really like the book. It is very superficial. It has a lot of imagination and it’s not really reality based.
