Great addition to the series
Violet “Sparky’ Parker is trying to clear her name in another murder. Coop is assigned to keep her out of trouble and neither likes it. Another classic by Ann and a great reader.

Half way through series in a week.
Just recently found this series. And, have been completely hooked. Can't get enough! You will be hooked too. You fall in love with the characters. Very well written.

Explicit sex did not add to the story
Very good story. Explicit sex scene did not add to the story line and could have been left out. Other than that I really enjoyed this.

Really like these books
But what I don't like is how Ray & Coop as well as some others are constantly putting Violet down, swearing at her calling her names and she mostly just takes it. But even worse is DR hearing it and never saying a thing to stick up for her. I'd like to see Violet have some decent comebacks to put those people in there place

One of best
All of Ann Charles books are exceptional reading though the changing of plot of this one keeps you guessing and wanting more.

Rattling the Heat in Deadwood is the 8th book in the Deadwood Mystery series. Such a clever storyline and the character banter is hilarious!!

Another Great Addition!
Love this series as much as any I have read. I hope future stories go back a little more toward the Uncle Willis, Doc, etc and a little lighter on the fantasy part. I love ghosts but we are getting out there now. Still love the series as usual.
