This story is an extension of the Masters and Mercenaries series. I love the stories that come out of Sean Taggert's restaurant, Top. Tiffany is a waitress and Sebastian is a sommelier. As a soldier who was wounded and retired, he has his own hangups. Tiffany with her sweetness helps heal Sebastian's pain. In the process, he saves her from some trouble from her past. Love these stories of the Veterans who are a part of Top!

The perfect pair

I love this series. If you are looking for a great standalone book from an interconnecting series, this is for you. This book is very low mistakes however, there are lots of great spice time and a lot of favorite characters returning.. this book Tiffany is tired of waiting for Sebastian to make his move. She pushes him past his comfort zone and help him heal from his trauma. As always the narration was wonderful.

Paitience with the Prickly One

I've enjoyed listening to the M&M Topped series. There's a bit more humor rather than spy intrigue in these stories. The appearance of Ian Taggart and his parenting woes definitely adds to the humor.
Perfectly Paired features Top's sommelier, Sebastian, and one of the restaurant's servers, Tiffany. Most of the employess who worked for former Green Beret, Sean Taggart, at his highly rated restaurant, had been in the armed forces, and some, like Sebastian, had suffered debilitating injuries. One of the perks working at Top is membership to Sanctum, the exclusive BDSM club owned by the Taggarts. Sean enlists Sebastian and Tiffany's help with training a high profile new Dom and his submissives. Sebastian reluctantly agrees, although he feels his physical disability and lack of a steady submissive would affect their believability. Tiffany's been crushing on Sebastian so she readily agrees to the opportunity of spending more personal time with Sebastian, although her character is a bit on the bratty side.
Aside from his physical disability, Sebastian is carrying heavy emotional scars created by his family and his experience in the Coast Guard, which makes him an undesirable life partner by his definition. Tiffany's "bratty" behavior gives Sebastian something to focus on as she tries to get past his prickly exterior to his heart.
Narrator Sebastian York does a fantastic job providing the third person insight into Sebastian's struggling heart and Tiffany's detrmined one as she fights to show him the future they could have. Author Lexi Blake covered a lot of different plot points in this story which made it more fun to listen to, especially the scenes involving Ian!

Perfectly Paired is the third book set in the Masters and Mercenaries: Topped series, and the romance stands alone. Tiffany knows what she wants, and that is Sebastian. When the opportunity arises for them to spend more time together, she jumps at the chance. But will she get him to trust her and open up to love, or will his pride push her away?

Oh my gosh, this was definitely my favorite book so far in this series and I absolutely devoured this romance with Tiffany and Sebastian! Let’s start with how on target this title is - he’s a sommelier and pairs the wines to the food at Top, and they are a perfectly matched couple, kinks and all! I loved the drama, the moments where I wanted to strangle at least one main characters, the very creative steamy scenes, and their heads battling with their hearts (and body). I really loved this couple! I thought Sebastian York did a great job with the narration and enjoyed the ways he brought all the characters to life. And, as pseudo on par with the original series, there was even a bit of danger in the end! I was hooked from the very beginning and loved every moment spent with this book. I highly recommend it and can’t wait to read the next Lexi Blake book!
