I’ll give it a shot, I’m out of other books and that last few I tried were real let downs...

...but hot diggity damn! It was good. Complex. I really want to read Bric‘s story but will definitely read/listen to book two! And the various readers! Perfect. Sebastian York could talk dirty to me all night long and I would not complain-ever!

Smith, Quin and Bric’s Sub of three years, Rochelle, has flown the coop. How thoughtful, she’s brought in Chella to take her place. It would have been nice if she had told her lover’s though. Two of her lovers are ambivalent and the third is devastated. As their new sub, Chella has her work cut out for her. Her lovers think it’s all a game and there are strict rules to follow, but what none of the men realize is that Chella is a game changer.

Right now author JA Huss is at the top of her game. Her stories and the way she tells them vary widely. There’s no formula to her writing and that makes her unpredictable and I love that about her. One thing you can depend on though, she’s going to deliver an awesome story and Taking Turns is no exception. It’s all sorts of steamy, no doubt about that. But even more fascinating is Chella’s interaction with three wildly distinct men. I loved the back and forth between Chella and Smith the best. It’s impossible to pick a favorite character since each has redeeming qualities and JA Huss takes her time to build each character.

Narration, what can I say? Sebastian York, Joe Arden, Ava Erickson and Tad Branson, this is the cream of the crop and all that talent in one eleven-hour audiobook. That’s my idea of audio heaven. Having a narrator for each point of view was amazing and it’s a testament to their professional expertise that it was all seamless. Each narrator flawlessly voiced all the characters. No matter who narrated each character was voiced with a sense of continuity. It’s like they all got together and decided what each character would sound like and it all flowed together so well.

Kudos to all involved. This one is a winner!

Julie writes such touching books. They always discuss difficult and contraversial topics but I consider that a plus, in her favor. There is also always some sort of mystery or twist, in every story. I can honestly say that the twist is never predictable. The only people who will not enjoy her writing will be people who don't have an open mind about human sexuality. If you are very conservative and you sexual standards are based solely on Biblical writings, this book is not for you. However, I am just twisted enough to love all of this author's books! :)

This being my very first book by JA Huss, I had no clue what I was about to read. I thought it would just be about sex. WOW, I was wrong! I like how there was a story behind it all! On to the second book now!

I really liked this book. The author's take of each POV is amazing. I did read some of the reviews before purchasing this book. The publisher's summary didn't really catch my interest. I am so glad I did. I have to agree I really would have liked to have seen a poly ending instead of a MF ending, but we can't have everything. I also really loved how the narrators worked on this. Their voices were awesome. I have not listened to any of them before, but WOW I will make sure to do so from now on. I am getting the second book right now!!! I have to say I have found a new author to be on look out for.

This is the best menage book I've read so far. The three men were different and interesting in there own way. This kept my interest in her reaction to each. Can't wait for the next book in the series!

The story itself was decent, kept me listening... but I like the contemporary HEA romance... it can be messy and dirty and dark along the way, but needs that HEA. This story got me to the HEA but I found that I didn’t actually care about who she’d end up with.

If you want a story about romantic relationships, with passion and yearning and sacrifice... I don’t recommend this book. It really was more about just general relationships with people and of course the dark side of sex - what makes it attractive to us, what leads us there, and personal acceptance.

Again. It was a good story to listen to but I could’ve been doing laundry during it and it would’ve been the same... no emotional investment for me... but good background noise.
