Publisher's summary

In search of Hugo and a reincarnated monk, Nick Barnette and company make their way to the Island Kingdom of Jonang.

At least that’s the plan.

Their ship is attacked, leading to an epic fight that separates Nick's party.

Things only get more complicated once they arrive on the island and find that a newly crowned emperor has wreaked havoc on the natives, an emperor Nick is intimately familiar with.

It’s going to take all the runes Nick has learned plus a deeper knowledge of his own ability if he hopes to best the emperor and find the reincarnated monk, and that’s not to mention the wind spirits, sea dragons, armed soldiers, flaming skulls, and demons he’ll be forced to engage along the way.

With little time to continue cultivating and understanding his power, Nick must rely on his friends, his own intuition, his unique time abilities, and a good amount of luck to save the day, especially once a fleet of warships from Lhasa make landfall.

Way of the Immortals, book three: Path of Possession is a western cultivation series weaving Bhutanese and Tibetan lore into a fast-paced novel that xianxia, wuxia, LitRPG, and progression fantasy readers will love. Way of the Immortals is an isekai portal fantasy written by Harmon Cooper, best-selling GameLit author of Death’s Mantle, House of Dolls, Cherry Blossom Girls, The Feedback Loop, and Monster Hunt NYC. A portion of the sales of this series will go to Tibet House.

spoiler

Great story but the idiot forgot about the thing he got at the end. that would have been the perfect solution.
again the story is good but I hate when the author forget or intentionally don't do the blaringly obvious that the character absolutely would do.

Growing Up

A solid evolution of the story in my opinion. the performance was very enjoyable. seeing the main and supporting characters grow was well done as was the continued world building.

Good book

This was a good book. I finished the first 3 books in just a couple days. I am looking forward to the next book.
