Critic Reviews

"Till the Dust Settles is a wickedly unnerving thriller from a writer who demands attention." (Caro Ramsay, best-selling author of the Anderson & Costello mystery series)

Narrator

I found it very difficult listening to the voices of the narrator- the voice was whinging and child like - but the story kept me listening- I would not choose a story narrated by this person again

Narration

Star Phoenix has such a silly little voice. The book deserves a more mature narration.

Worth persevering with

Initially the narrator’s rather sugary voice and deliver put me off, but it’s worth persevering with. The storyline is clever, plenty of twists and turns, if a little far fetched and ‘conspiracy theory’ish at the end.

Who to trust ?

First class story with plenty of interesting twists and turns . An ending that leaves the reader in the mind of a possible follow up . Enjoyable and recommended

Dire, dire, dire!

This was probably the worst book I have had from Audible. Immediately let down by the monotonous drone of narrator " Star Phoenix " which grates on you almost from the start. Her interpretation of Lesley (main character) is basically achieved by a high pitch gooiness more befitting of Shirley Temple. It is neither beleiveable nor pleasant to listen to. "Stars" interpretation of male characters relies on the ' big bad wolf ' voice type, simply awful! The story is thin and highly improbable, and lacks any depth. You cannot find any sympathy, or like, for the skillet wielding Lesley, and therefore, to me, her potential ultimate demise in the epilogue brings this whole debacle of a novel to a fitting (hopefully) end. RIP.

Plot had potential...shame about the narrator

I tried to persevere with the book in spite of the irritating voice of the narrator because I liked the idea of the plot, but I just couldn't go on.
