Publisher's Summary

Equal parts Dexter and 50 Shades, this is the eagerly awaited new novel from A. R. Torre, author of the award-winning erotic thriller The Girl in 6E.

The rules are the same. I can't open the door. I can't leave. I can't kill anyone.

The only difference is I don't set the rules anymore. Guards in gray uniforms do. It is everything I never wanted and everything I always deserved. I write to you now from a prison cell. My home for the next 20 to 30 years.

That's the going term for murder.

No, No, No

Once again this was a great book however the ending was soul crushing. I I do understand the author had to go where the character lead her, I can only pray that there is a fourth installment. The narrator did another fantastic job. I just needed a different ending or more of an ending. Over all this trilogy was one of the best but as far as I'm concerned the second book was by far the most gripping of the three.

What a rollercoaster ride!

Great book! This story at first was pretty good. Then it got a little slow and I was getting worried. All of a sudden, the plot exploded! I now understand why it got slow. Wow, I wasn't expecting the book to take off in the direction it did. I didn't see it coming at all.

Deanna Madden had a terrible thing happen to her family and has since become a prisoner in her own home. In book 3, Deanna breaks all her own rules and decides she might be able to be a normal person or can she???

Absolutely awesome and mind-blowing. This whole series has been twisted and thrilling. The author, A R Torre does an awesome job on her plots and story-lines. She has the ability to combine steamy reading with thrills and chills. The narrator, Jorjeana Marie does a great job delivering this story to us complete with accents and emotions and so many different voices. Excellent job ladies!

Amazing book

Best book of the series. Although things may not always go the way you want, the ending is the way it should be. There are a few unanswered questions, at least from me.

A plausible 2nd follow-up sequel

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Definitely. Jorjeana Marie's narrating style fits this story perfectly. As long as she's the narrator, I'll keep reading the series via audiobook format.

Would you recommend If You Dare to your friends? Why or why not?

Yes, I'd recommend it to friends who enjoy a good thriller. It was believable and well executed even though I would have preferred a slightly different outcome.

What does Jorjeana Marie bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She added that extra layer of animation that I may not have had running through my head if I'd read the novel with my own two eyeballs.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Yes, without hesitation. It has all the requisite story elements to make a good suspenseful movie.

Any additional comments?

'Jeremy is the first man that I have ever loved. But our love is a safety net riddled with holes. I love him because he looks at me like I am normal. He looks at me like I am normal because he doesn't know the whole of my depravity.' I had to accept Deanna's truth after listening to this section. It's what helped me accept the ending of this novel. I'm curious to see what future scenario A.R. Torre can come up with to entice fans of the series to continue following Deanna Madden's journey.

Loved the first two. This one, not so much.

The author is witty and intelligent as ever, but this third book breaks format and is more of a Whodunit, and we damn well know who didn't dunit.
Worth a read but not up to the standards of the others. Readers will complain about the ending. Sequel bate.

Amazingly different

Just finished all 3 books and loved them all! Deanna is a character that you will love, even when she gets her ‘evil’ on! I have over 1000 audiobooks and Deanna is one of my top 10 characters that I love.

Wow

What a journey! It has been a number of hours, lots of emotions, lots of time being spent thinking about Deanna and the other characters. And most of all, lots of emotion tied up in this story. So am I disappointed by the ending? No way. I think it's perfect. Everything about this tale is perfect.

I can't wait to see where it goes from here and I'm so glad that Deanna is still speaking to Alessandra and that this isn't the end.

This was the most action packed story of the series. Deanna ends up in jail and not for the reason you might think. The reader is told of the arrest and you have to work backwards from there. Lots of twists and turns and intrigue. It's most definitely worth the credit to continue on with Deanna.

Not as good as The Girl in 6E

After reading 'the girl in 6E', I was desperate to listen to the second 'If You Dare', but I was very disappointed. It is nowhere as good as the first one, the storyline was okay, but that's it, just okay.
