Publisher's summary

The newest release from New York Times best-seller Alessandra Torre....

Sometimes it only takes a minute. A connection of eyes across a room, a quickened heartbeat, and everything changes.

I was a cocktail waitress with a fondness for partying and meaningless sex.
He owned half of Vegas, with the reputation to match.

I should have turned away. Instead, I stepped closer.

Then, the lies started.
Rumors spread.
Stalking commenced.
And someone died.

None of it stopped me from falling in love.

GAh!!!! Great suspense and duet reading to die for.

I knew there was a cliff, yes I KNEW! It’s bad, really bad, gut clutching bad. I know better than to start a new duo or trilogy before all the books or in this case the Audibles are out! PALM SLAPS HEAD.

What a wonderful, sexy suspense full read. The. Best. Now I wait to see what happens in this twisted F’ed up mess. GAH! Great characters you cannot help but love and the duet reading is by far the best I’ve listened to ever. I am so glad authors are embracing duet reading, it’s fantastic. Book count for 2018? 112. 110 are Audibles.

Romance, mystery, danger, & sex, oh my!

The wealthy businessman falls for the cocktail waitress, but there's so much more to this story! This book is suspenseful, sinfully sexy, seductive, and sweetly romantic all tied up in one bow. It hooks you and refuses to let go until the completion of book two :)

A roll of the dice

Alessandra’s books never disappoint. It’s like rolling the dice and coming up a big winner.
Vegas is the playground. The players are Dario, Gwen and Belle. Oh yes, the playground bully is Gwen’s father Robert Hawk, a certifiable psycho.
The story is centers around Dario and Gwen in a ten year marriage that began as a way to save each other. They have their reasons for this “arrangement” and they each have and know about each other’s lovers or in Gwen’s case, the foreman at the family ranch.
They respect one another and work well together. All is well in their world until Dario sees Belle serving drinks at an underground poker game run by her two guy friend.
Dario can’t stop thinking about Belle and begins an all out pursuit of her.
There is intrigue, developed backstories, great supporting characters, murder and a side plot involving father-dearest that is barely explained but very psycho and creepy.
Ms. Torres sets a good storyline and hopefully all the parts will have clear answers in book 2.
I enjoyed the narrators, especially Dexter Collins’ Dario.

Two thumbs up

The pacing of the story was slow at first but once it got going, it didn’t stop! The cliffhanger was jaw-dropping. Downloading part 2 as soon as I submit this review.

Pretty good, except 3rd person of male character

This was pretty good, but I found it distracting that the male’s story was told in 3rd person. It made it hard to be invested in his character.
