Brilliant as usual...

Brilliant as usual. Nice to see Indie getting a bit more focus, but I did miss Sam.

Sam Prichard and the depraved dentist!

Framed is Book 4 in the 8 novel Sam Prichard private detective series. This is a light and fun murder/crime mystery. Sam, Indie and Kelsey settle down to a more routine family life after the dirty nuclear bombs of Book 3 as Sam and Indie go back to their private detective business and Sam continues recovering from being shot.

Sam gets several new cases that seem to be somewhat linked although the link is unclear. As the investigation appears to implicate a dentist the dentist's wife is murdered and Sam is framed for her murder.

The investigation is led by Indie, but her mother (Sam's crazy mother-in-law) and her personal ghost Beauregard prove important to solving the mystery of the depraved dentist and getting Sam and others out of jail.

A very entertaining listen.

Any plot device worth using is worth overusing...

Prichard's time a singer turns out not to be a single book experiment. And the songs intercut into the previous audiobook were just the beginning. The gimmick was repeated in this release.

This book was interesting, though everyone in Sam's town seems to be susceptible to posthypnotic suggestion. The plot device is first used to great effect, then overused, then run entirely into the ground. Still, the story was compelling and the pages kept turning. I'm enjoying the series.

Bittersweet

Another awesome Chaplin the Sam Prichard series. I say Chapter because these book are SO short it’s silly. These should be released in groups of 3 at a minimum they’re just not worth the price for one.
Also I MUST say the nonsense of the musical performance is a huge distraction from the novel. I don’t want to hear bad music in the middle of my story!!!
