Team Cinderella is back in action....

Noah Wolf is quickly becoming one of the top names in the world of espionage. With well over one million copies sold and tens of thousands of five-star reviews, this perennial USA Today best-selling series will be sure to keep your heart pounding well into the night.

E&E Team Cinderella is back in action, this time with robot assassin Esmeralda competently in charge. She's aided by her own team and Wally Lawson's latest creation: Stanley, another robot on his first mission. Strong, deadly and almost alive, Stanley is the perfect agent; he won't fail, and he'll never stop.

But when Stanley is struck by lightning and goes rogue, taking along the young daughter of the British Ambassador whom he was assigned to protect, the potential for disaster could spell the end for Noah and the rest of the agency. Only Esmeralda has a chance to save both Stanley and the girl, but first she's got to stop one of the most deadly assassins they've ever encountered, but even success can spell doom for E&E.

In a previous review, I commented that the characters needed development. Since then, not related to my review, they have developed and new characters have been added. The storylines have also changed so that it’s not just spy and shoot or cut. The story of some books has an interesting focus that breaks from routine. Too bad that I’m getting to the end of available books!

Just when you think the storyline can't get any better, it just does😁. Stanley, who I think will become Esmeralda's life companion, gets to totally shine in this story about protecting an ambassador's young daughter from assassination. Not saying anything else, just, it's worth the time to listen and the credit to buy it!! Bonus, Sarah was wayyy less of a whine-fest.

I enjoyed the story, though it did seem to bog down a bit in the middle. What caused me to rate this less than excellent was the narrator. It’s hard to describe exactly what the problem was but I guess the intonation is where to start. All the characters were voiced as if they were “snooty”… it’s hard to explain but you will know what I mean if you decide to listen. Also, the British accents of some characters seemed to vary. The “ambassador” at one point had a cockney-like sound and his daughter’s seemed to come and go. I did enjoy the listen and the story held my attention. I recommend it if you think you can ignore the traits I mentioned.

Interesting concepts!
