Liked but some story issues

2🌶️3.5 ⭐️ interesting world building and unique concept. But this book should have been written in 3rd person POV not 1st person. The twists of the story are impactful but not totally believable because of the POV issue. Also book didn’t have a lot of high points, kinda one note for most of it. Felt like a LONG prequel than a book 1.

I didn’t see that coming. Need book two now please. Hopefully the audio will come out with the regular book release

Wow Didn’t see that coming!

I am sitting here in shock! I did not see that ending coming and I can usually figure out most of twists. Performance by the narrator was perfection. It’s not really a "cliffhanger” but you are going to be shocked in the best and worst of way! I don’t know what to think… I’m. It sure if I now hate Jovey or think she is brilliant. Now what?? Gosh the wait is going to suck… I’m just not knowing who is the good guys and who is the bad guys. However, the twist at the end does make me feel like Jovey sucks right now. However, if she is doing this to save the innocent then it is a really murky grey area. Also, poor Achor… I feel terrible for him. Smh damn that was good!

I'm going to go on a reading slump after this book. So far, this is my top number 1 of 2025. I don't know how I'm gonna continue reading after this book. I can't wait to see what book two brings and how much better it can get!

WOWWW! This book was worth all the hype! It had everything from forced proximity to secrets and betrayals. I loved all the twists and turns. And that plot twist 🤯 Ma’am I need the next book immediately!!

Go into this one blind and you won’t regret it!! Holy Grial level romantasy!

Completely worth that credit. Don’t spoil it for yourself and go into it blind. Great romantasy.

What a Tangled Web We Weave

This book caught me off guard and left me reeling. The story building was great. The FMC is powerful and fierce. The books hits all my romantasy expectations, but the pacing is slow. I give it 4 stars because the plot twist is confusing. I will definitely be reading book 2.
