This one is for you! Great characters, well developed plot. Really enjoyed this. Can’t wait for the next in the series!

I loved the entire book. Could not put it down. I loved the narration as well.

The plot was plotting!

Even though parts of this book were a tad predictable, it was one of my best reads this year! It was so action packed and left me on the edge of seat. Can’t wait for book 2!!!

So different in the best way

A lot of books get soo repetitive this one was so refreshing. I love the min characters and look forward to the next two books

Pretty good!

Overall I really enjoyed this book. I found myself wishing we had more of the relationship development between the FMC and the MMC. I felt like all of the sudden they were professing love without filling in those moments together. All we got was a “we’ve spent almost every night together” so that was a little frustrating. I’m excited for book 2 and cannot wait to see where this story goes. The last chapter threw me for a loop! Great job for sure. Definitely recommend.

Love the premise and the action!!

Enjoyable read that had me rooting for the good guys AND the bad guys! Woo hoo!!

Unexpectedly addicting

What a ride! I wasn’t expecting to be hooked into this dystopian world as much as I did. Audio narration engaging and well performed. I was so immersed that there were times I was was hanging on each word,

I think it’s the concealed powers (telepathy) that drew me, and a childhood friends to lovers subplot (my kryptonite) that sealed the deal. Add enemies-to-lovers banter, UST, open spice, and a kick-ass FMC trying to gather intelligence as undercover soldier vying to secure a spot in one of the most prestigious divisions of the army… yeah pure catnip.
Of course the story leaves us with more questions than answers. Answers that I look forward to unfolding.

It’s ok but

Honestly the main character is so annoying and irresponsible. Genuinely liked the idea of the book but they used the FMC making ridiculous choices to further the book which is disappointing. By the end I was bored and won’t be reading the second in the series.

Easy, fun dystopian world.

What a great read. The author constructs what may seem like an expected dystopian world at first glance but the story hints that in the books to come, it will have so much more to it than we have seen yet. Can’t wait to read the next book and see where the story goes.

Awesome writing and plot

Easily one of my top reads of 2025. Great writing, cool characters, captivating plot, and a pleasant cliff hanger ending that has me excited for the next book, but not in an emotionally draining frenzy (looking at you Onyx Storm). If you liked The Hunger Games, or Divergent series this is your cup of tea.
