Pleasantly Taken by Surprise

loved the narrators voices. Knowing the inspiration and origins of where this author started this book swept me away, especially the last few hours of the audio. The struggle now is waiting for book 2 and more. Well done!

Super dark. Not very comfy. But couldn’t put it aside.

This one is so hard to rate. It’s dark dark. Super uncomfortable. But very well done?! I will have to read the next one. No question…

The story is sooooooo good.

I’ve read a similar story, wink wink, and I loved this one just as much. I looked on Goodreads to see when the second installment is schedule to come out, and right now it’s projected for December 2026. Torture! It will be torture waiting that long. The narrator was great too. She had a good voice range and I enjoyed all the different voiced she did for all of the different characters.

Great book

It left me wanting more . When's the next book? I would highly recommend . A must read. Love this author and genre of suits her.

Beautiful and Heartbreaking

I loved this book. The main characters were intriguing and heartbreaking. I felt the fear and pain and little bits of hope Briony held on to. And the ending killed me. Tears running down my face.

The audiobook narration is perfection.
