Publisher's Summary

Her memories are coming back, but why don't they match the life she's been living?

Mia is not surprised to find herself crawling out of a lake in the middle of the night. She's been sleepwalking a lot lately, and although it just started, she's by no means a stranger to new things. It's been four months since Mia woke up with no memory - no recollection of any of the 24 years of her life.

She doesn't remember getting married or even moving to the southern town of Cooper Creek. But what bothers her the most is not knowing why she keeps having the same recurring nightmare about the Chinese tattoo on her ring finger.

When Mia discovers how to trigger back her memories, she's taken aback by the fact that they don't match the life she's been living? But that's not the worst part. She soon learns that any further triggers could cause permanent damage to her brain. On the edge of her doubts, will she risk her mental stability to find out the truth about her past?

You'll love this thrilling romantic suspense because it's fast-paced and will keep you listening on. Get it now.

An outstanding edge-of-your-seat read

Memories Lost: A Thrilling Romantic Suspense (Disarray Series - Book 1), my first oh-so-enjoyable read from author Jessie Cal. Well-written with intriguing characters. 5-hours 16-minute/269-pages. Sometimes a book is just so enjoyable, so spine-tingling, so page-turning, wait no spoilers here, buy the book, read & review the book. I was given an Audible copy of this book back in May & am just getting around to listening to it. I'm voluntarily reading & reviewing it. Emma Faye’s on-the-edge=of-panic narration adds to the book's enjoyment. I can't wait for the next book Memories Restored: A Thrilling Romantic Suspense (Disarray Series - Book 2). (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

It's complicated

I had a hard time getting into this. Some of it was very interesting and there was a lot to keep you guessing. However, it seemed to go on too long and I got bogged down in it. I finally skipped ahead several chapters to the ending which is something I rarely do. It just wasn't for me.

Narration was fine.

I received a free copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving this review.

An intriguing mix of romance and suspense

Memories Lost has been a delightful surprise. The book opens, introducing Mia, the protagonist, as a young woman suffering from amnesia. Soon, it is clear that there is much more behind her memory loss, giving life to an unusual, fast-paced storyline populated by vivid and lively characters and plenty of twists and turns. The narration keeps a balanced tone, maintains an overall lightness, and avoids excessive darkness, which is fresh and entertaining at all times. Since Memories Lost is only the first part of Mia's adventure, it closes with quite a few loose ends. The story, however, is well developed, giving the reader a satisfactory finale.
