Liked it but

OK so the story was weird for one reason alone. The main character remained as a baby for the ENTIRE book. Sure he got a little bigger but he STILL isn't even 1 year old. I don't mind stories where the characters start as babies, but this has taken it a bit far. Even the cover art depicts someone that's at least 20. That's false advertisement and would cause someone more strict to give a worse rating. Overall it's a great listen though. I have high hopes for book 2. Just cut back on introspection a little. About 60% of the entire story is made of the Mc's thoughts and inner monologs.

a long hours book

this is a decent length book, unfortunately not a lot happens in the book even though it's long but the good thing is I enjoyed every moment of it and wish the book had been longer and I can't wait for book 2.

Baby as Main Character

If you liked the concept for the first book of the The Beginning After the End series you'll enjoy this somewhat similar take on it.

Pretty good

Pretty good start to a series. It is a bit wierd to be in the perspective of a 1 year old but you forget about it eventually and the book progesses like normal.

Very cool

I am enjoying this world's system. Kind of a scary world that has a hard start for life.

Turtleme early years but better

If you like beginning after the end, then you will most certainly like this book. The world and reactions to the MC being a hyper inteligente baby makes more sense in context than in TBATE. Writing style is solid. Narration is great as always.

I give this story a B

If you see the cover you would think that we will see an MC as a man. NOPE. the MC grows to be a young toddler with the mindset of a man. There is so much that can be done with this story, but the delivery was not that good. I think that the next book will be a little better. At least I hope so. kind of reminds me of the beginning after the end, but not nearly as good.

Where's the rest of it?

This is a great start to a story. the world build is slow but completing as one goes. The MC is dynamic and the story is investing. I want to keep reading.

That is my gripe...that the story essentially goes not very far for a first in the series. The first plot device comes, it goes and the story in paused for book 2. Feels like a let down. Like one bought a fast car, drove it to a highway ramp and then you hit the breaks before one joins the highway.

Also pretty realistic worries run through the MC so it's nice to have a not dumb MC for a person to follow.

Listener received this title free

"Ouch, you hit me below the diaper."

I pretty much jumped into this litRPG without any expectations of what I was getting into, I only knew that it had a weird title and that Neil Hellegers had a great voice, which is well suited for voicing a litRPG.
And wow, I wasn't wrong. Neil Hellegers was great and Crijik was a weird title and along with that title was a very weird beginning. But I was curious enough about the Crijik that I continued listening. It's definitely a Isekai adventure as Andross Silver falls to his death he's reborn as a baby with no ability, he has his memories... but in this body he can't even hold up his head, walk, or talk... and I found myself likin' it more and more!

Here's some quotes that I found amusing...

"I'm not afraid to die, I just don't want to be there when it happens."

"Ouch, you hit me below the diaper."

"I even had to work in tech support."

"Finally, a good reason to punch a toddler in the face."
