Where others see doom, he sees opportunity. Hell Difficulty? More like a chance to thrive.

Nathaniel's bus ride was supposed to be just another boring commute. Wrong. Now, he, 23 fellow passengers, and a corgi named Biscuit, are stuck in a "Hell Difficulty" Tutorial, battling monsters and leveling up to survive.

Easy difficulty, anyone can handle. Normal difficulty, you've got to put up a fight to get by. Hard difficulty is where only the tough ones last. And Hell? That's where you have to be a bit out of your mind!

With his terrifying talent for mana manipulation, Nathaniel decides to invest every stat point into mana. Attribute imbalance be damned. It will either kill him before the monsters and his enemies can, or turn him into one of the most powerful beings within the system.

Never underestimate the guy who has so much Mana it should kill him...

Follow Nathaniel's crazy journey as he takes on nightmarish foes and teams up with a far-from-normal group of bus passengers in this action-packed LitRPG Adventure. He must outsmart the odds, survive, and emerge stronger than anyone else!

Story is great, Mc is a hyper logical introvert wich is a nice change of pace. Overall 10/10 experience. Also, praise be to Biscuit for he is pure a without fault!

All heil Biscuit

The story is solid, it’s fun and different, but I understand why some might not like the MC. He’s 100% a sociopath, someone who is self interested and self obsessed. But that’s what I personally enjoy about the story, he is honest with who he is and what he wants. After all not every MC need to be a goody goody with a heart of gold. This MC suffers from a condition where he lacks proper emotional depth. Which, as someone with Asperger’s, I empathize with. Hell this MC would probably be me in a similar situation. I’d let the world burn to protect myself and my wife. So don’t dismiss the story just because other people only want a knight in shining armor MC. Because let’s face it, those stories are a dime a dozen.

Now, the real issue for me, is that the book feels like it was written by a high schooler… maybe even a middle schooler. It’s hard to explain why this is without going on a long diatribe about sentence structure and literary flow. But for example you might hear things like “I walked into the house, then walked to kitchen, then walked to the fridge.” Whereas a proper author wouldn’t say walked three times and instead write “I entered the house and proceeded the kitchen to check the fridge.” Bottom line, this book needed a proper editor. It is obvious this is the authors first book and they probably couldn’t afford one. So cut them some slack, because they do tell a good story despite the faults.

I dropped the book when the main character legitimately started contemplating killing the people he was with for experience. the only reason he didn't was because he didn't think that they would give him enough experience, and because he could use them to his own benefit. not because murder is wrong, just because they would be more useful to help him. amd to be clear, it isn't like he is a gand member, or a hitman, or mercinary, or anything. he is just a random guy. I think the author needs to talk to a priest, this is psychotic.

sociopathic main character

So I can understand some of the criticisms in the other reviews. The MC is a bit hard to handle in terms of thought process and actions sometimes. Maybe it speaks more about myself that I enjoyed this story.
World building is well done and leaves you wanting more without leaving giant gaps in information.
System is interesting and a combo of some winners we see in the genre.
MC is absolutely not a hero, not quite a villain either. He is going to do some things that most people will not like. But to me they made sense once you understand the MC a little better.

Overall a fantastic story and well worth a listen if you’re a fan of slightly villainous MCs. Be aware going in that you will probably disagree with the MC, or you might understand him some.

Interesting story

Well written, but hard to read. All the characters seem to be suffering from Sociopathy. None of them seem to have any human empathy.

Tough to read
